How do you schedule your day to study two languages? I'm trying to get into japanese and french, but google isn't being useful.
Have you tried it? How did you do it? Divide the day half and half? One day each? etc etc
The only way I really "study" languages is by reading random shit on the Internet in that language and trying to participate in discussion in broken Spanish/Italian/German.
So yeah, just alternate between the languages i guess

do you recommend any textbooks?

Well... I can't really think of any.
For starters, you can give a once over to "Russian for Dummies". Don't take it seriously trying to memorize anything. 'Cause I don't like trasliteration being used troughout the whole book like it's some kind of tourist phrase book. So read it just for getting a general idea. Meanwhile I'll think of something better. You can download it here https://www.u-cursos.cl/usuario/cc5ce5405bf442d82b0bdadbf6cf4e6c/mi_blog/r/Russian_for_Dummies_(2006).pdf
What are you reasons for learning it BTW?

if i say just casual interest will you not recommend me the best book?

I don't think casual interest is enough to learn a language. I for example am learning japanese because of tons of games, anime and books I'd like to read. Yet even then I sometimes feel dejected at my slow progress.
Anyway I believe that book of quite ok for a complete beginner.
I wouldn't even consider myself xenofobic, not against poland, japanese, whatever, but I hate all americans with all my might.
I fucking hate americans. They are as bad as mexicans, maybe even worse. I hate them with the fury of 1000 suns, those hamburger eating fuckers. They are the cancer killing the modern world. Not only are they straight ugly and fat, they are stupid. They may run tech centers and shit, but they're so stupid it's rage enticing. Every time I see an american woman I want to throw up all over the fucking place. On top of this, they smell terrible. Every time an american turns to talk to me, the mixture of their BO and breathe makes me want to shoot myself to get rid of the pain. It's like they never bathe. I could take my hairy ass and rub shit all over it, not only would it be smarter and prettier than an american, it would smell many times better. There food is disgusting too. I could mix sewage in with vomit and make better cuisine.
Their country is shit too. It's over crowded and smelly as a pair of old dudes balls. They're the cancer killing this world, they're like mexicans except they aren't as good at sports and they aren't quite as violent. Just as ugly, stupid fat and smelly.
2 years later America invaded a country resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands over a decade-long war. And it wasn't even the country that attacked them in 2001.

AMERICANS FUGGLY

All of this is true except the overcrowded part. It really isn't overcrowded.

Jesus Christ. 9/11 is a fucking joke. Millions have died because of America's retaliation to that "tragedy". The twin tours were filled with disposable people just like the citizens in Iraq being blown up by drones. Until you realize that the American govt. and govt. in general is treating the masses like guinea pigs you will live in total ignorance dipshit.

I googled "twin tours" so that I could make a joke, maybe about a band's tours or something, but google still thinks I'm looking for twin towers. There are only three hits for twin tours and two of them are for a site called Twin Tours, which offers trips to Israel.
If you can't handle that, you really aren't trying

English is an SVO (Subject-Verb-Object) language, German is an SOV (Subject-Object-Verb) language.
e.g., a valid sentence in English is "He ate an apple". A valid sentence in German would have the structure "He an apple ate."
Verbs come after the subject so it can be a little unintuitive and confusing to someone who's unaware of the structure.

That isn't true.
In German it is valid to say:
Ich esse ein Apfel. (I'm eating an Apple). Which is SVO.
However because of the cases in German word order is partially about emphasis.
i.e. "Den Mann beisst der Hund" (The dog bites the man) is the same as "Der Hund beisst den Mann"
In fact the only real rule in German is that a verb must occupy the second position of a sentence.

This thread is not doing a good job of convincing me that smart people speak English.
What's a good website for learning the beautiful Swedish language? Also, how long do you think it'll take me? All my life I've been learning Romance languages so I've gotten used to it all. Please give me some insight!
