I find it ironic progrider BBS has much more quality posts, dedicated fast server, yet its admin sucks and the software is shit.
FrozenBBS has shit posts and hosted on shared server, but a decent admin who doesn't delete anything automatically and the software is stable and fast.

Hosting with a commercial provider will cost money(and i don't have much to spare, i'm a NEET who makes his own food) and hosting a server from my Athlon II box is against the ISP policy and common sense(900kilobits of upload bandwidth) . Plus, while coding the forum is not that hard(a textboard is even easier), debugging and testing it on live audience might be disconcerting to say the least.
I prefer to not reinvent the wheel and use the free services if possible.
I could technically use some clever hack like storing postdata/metadate/structure inside encrypted text in pastebins(to minimize bandwidth) and decrypt them clientside, but the benefits are minimal and there is still possibility it might get deleted.

It's too much of a coincidence for me.
Before you say "but we've had worse times, like the hax my anus age!", no, it's not true, at least in my opinion. We can be totally sure it was some bored /prog/rider(s?) derailing meaningful threads. Hell, we even had some actual /b/tards visiting us so we could be their personal army, but they were mostly harmless and we could isolate all the cases easily. It's not like that with the /g/ro shitposting. True, there might be some local users shitposting too, but there were a few imageredditors that actually came here and shit up the board. Once they realized we don't like them, they put on their e/g/in le trolle mask and started shitposting even harder.
The spam was meant to be up long enough to distract /g/ros and make them lose interest in the board, but if it hadn't been for that guy who went to /q/ and asked mods for a captcha, things wouldn't have turned out like this.
I've been using my free time for developing a new textboard in Scheme, but apparently the DistBB guy got ahead from me and I lost all motivation after that.

Let's make a dozen implementations. Anonymous boards are an excellent channel of communication, one of these days, the West will discover them.

I thought i was going to write it and /prog/ help to design pieces of it(like crowd-sourced code), but i think the game would be too complex for most players(its about 3D space strategy with elements of Starcraft. EveOnline has different system(a RPG-based ship progression), this will be like RTS in space with manual control over ship groups and individual ships,e.g.the closest analogy is like controlling a corporation in EveOnline manually(with the fast RTS-type economy/combat/maps(star systems))), so the game would appeal only to some hardcore segment that can handle such control requirements. There is currently nothing like this in the game industry, which is oriented to casual "blast ships with lasers all day" games.
