Tulpa Trouble Thread

So I made a tulpa of The Sussman a few months back. He was great at first, when we were getting to know each other and things hadn't gotten sexual yet. Now all he does is look over my shoulder while I code and makes annoying remarks saying I shouldn't do that, or that this can be rewritten, or ranting about magic, or telling me that his mere existence is unscientific and ultimately destructive. And the sex, oh god, the sex.... I know it's all in my head and that I'm not really being injured, but that makes it even worse, because I won't even really die from ... what he does to my body. I tried killing him off, but he just laughs at my efforts and tells me that I will never be free. He won't let me leave my house, and he beats me every time I try, then tells me to get back to work. I'm only able to type this now because he had to go out to buy some amphetamines to keep me awake while I work on his AI project (literally, his AI, because it has his personality), so he can have immortality.

Please, /prog/, help me!

I told my Sussman tulpa that he's ``unscientific and ultimately destructive'' but he's still here!

I would like to begin constructing a tulpa of Toshinou Kyouko from Yuru Yuri. Any advice?

Go to tulpa.info, you'll find some properly constructed guides. Don't listen to anything written by a user named Fede. Do listen to things written by a user named NLD or some variation of this. NLD is a bro, has ten tulpae, and gives good advice.

tulpae
`Tulpa' isn't Latin, and even if it were, that wouldn't be the correct way to pluralize a loanword in English. Stop doing that.

As the tulpa community consistently spells the plural of tulpa as tulpae, it is preferable to use the more used version (tulpae) than what would be considered "correct" in a language filled with inconsistencies and built upon loan words.

>>52
The tulpa community consist of retards and willful schizophrenics, so whatever they want doesn't matter for shit. `tulpae' looks just about as stupid as `virii'. Just say `tulpas' like a normal person; you don't have to go to such lengths to make the idea of forcing yourself to see your imaginary friend seem exotic.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-23 23:50

>>53
normal person
Normality is subjective. Fuck you.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 0:12

>>53

The term retarded refers to someone of weak intelligence or slow thoughts - qualities which would make the creation of tulpae anywhere from difficult to impossible.

Schizophrenia, being by definition a mental disease, cannot be voluntary. Just because you see a hallucination does not mean you are schizophrenic.

Normal people do not use the word tulpa, let alone tulpas/tulpae in their daily repertoire, and often do not know what the hell a tulpa is. From within the community of people who do know what a tulpa is and who talk about them, the most accepted plural is tulpae.

And finally, of note is that a tulpa is not an imaginary friend. The key difference between the two is that an imaginary friend is controlled by the conscious mind while the tulpa is controlled by the subconscious and can be considered sentient.

Isn't being normal considered a bad thing by wise people?

Think for yourself and be yourself they said.

A tulpa is like running several OSes on the same brain. Preemptive multitasking (or would that be VMs). Pretty leet.

This is a script that learns to anticipate your keypresses induces temporary schizophrenia.

- Run the script below.
- Get the keyboard outside of your visual field. A non-clicky keyboard is preferred.
- Press a key on your keyboard at random intervals between 1 and 3 seconds. Every time you press a key the screen flashes.
- Keep doing it until the counter reaches 100. Keep pressing.
- The flashes now occur before the keypresses!

#!/bin/bash

Tulpa possession? Nothing wrong with it. Easy to get out of if you don't like what your tulpa is doing, and it makes the tulpa happy because it means they can actually talk to people (and other tulpae)

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 3:15

>>65
>it makes the tulpa happy
Of course. It wants your energy. Imagine if you were a tulpa and all you energy came from some other entity, and that entity let you to control itself. Now, takes off the rose-colored glasses and think of a tulpa as being that has its own interests. It doesn't want itself to die, it wants to exists in comfort and its comfort depends on how much energy it has. Energy comes from your attention/focus creating channels which transmit your chakras energy to the tulpa, and if you let tulpa possess you it can "drink" it from the source. This kind of relationship is called "parasitism" and the tulpa is interested to gain as much energy as it can for as much time as possible. As more power you give to the tulpa, the more it will mold your mind into the form where it can gain more energy. In the end your body will be a feeding vessel for a tulpa.

Has its own interests.... has its own personality and ethical and moral beliefs.....

just torture and kill it if it turns out to be a sociopathic tulpa

Stopped reading right there. We're discussing a creature of the subconscious. Get that unscientific bullcrap out of here!

>unscientific bullcrap
Do you agree that:
1. Tulpa needs energy to exist.
2. focusing/attention on the mental construct of a tulpa give it energy
3. The source of that energy is yourself
4. Energy is more plentiful in some areas where its abundantly produced
5. These areas could be called "centers of energy"
6. These areas can be connected to tulpa.
7. A tulpa possessing the body can utilize these "centers of energy" directly.
If one would call such "centers of energy" chakras, would that change anything?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 4:44

Sure, then I'll go refer to neurons as tiny men inside my brain.

Brain is massively parallel. Think about it for a second.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 5:20

1. Tulpa needs energy to exist
Well, given that a tulpa requires its host to be alive, and a host has a minimum amount of calories to be consumed per day to keep functioning, then yes.

2. focusing/attention on the mental construct of a tulpa give it energy
Actually a fully created tulpa can act on its own without its host needing to give it attention.

3. The source of that energy is yourself
For all brain processes this would be correct. I don't see why this would be considered a big deal though, as most people don't burn enough energy in a fucking day.

4. Energy is more plentiful in some areas where its abundantly produced
The fuck are you talking about? Also, energy isn't produced, it's transformed from chemical energy to kinetic or whatever the fuck the body needs.

5. These areas could be called "centers of energy"
Now, I've never taken a biology course, but it appears you are going into the realm of the unscientific

6. These areas can be connected to tulpa.
What areas?

7. A tulpa possessing the body can utilize these "centers of energy" directly.
Do you even... know what the fuck... you are talking about?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 5:28

    >>4. Energy is more plentiful in some areas where its abundantly produced
    >The fuck are you talking about? Also, energy isn't produced, it's transformed from chemical energy to kinetic or whatever the fuck the body needs.
energy isn't produced. Energy is produced from another chemical energy. Which one?
    >>5. These areas could be called "centers of energy"
    >Now, I've never taken a biology course, but it appears you are going into the realm of the unscientific
Does your brain have the exact same energy density as your ass? If thats so, your post is easily explainable.
    >>6. These areas can be connected to tulpa.
    >What areas?
"centers of energy" connected via channels to the tulpa. A permanent conduit from you to the tulpa.
    >>7. A tulpa possessing the body can utilize these "centers of energy" directly.
    >Do you even... know what the fuck... you are talking about?
A tulpa which possesses the body(and by extension the subtle body) has access to these "energy centers" without a conduit. An analogy is drinking directly from a reservoir vs drinking through a very long straw(which isn't controlled by a drinker) from a reservoir.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 5:58

Energy is produced from another chemical energy. Which one?

Well let's see... body takes in chemical energy from carbohydrates, converts to fat for storage if unused or into kinetic energy if used. My best understanding of the situation.

"centers of energy" connected via channels to the tulpa. A permanent conduit from you to the tulpa.
What do you mean by "channels". And for the sake of knowing I'm continuing this conversation with someone who's not an idiot, can you please state the definition of energy?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-24 6:14

This isn't scientific in the first place (nor does it need to be, empiricism is a bit of a joke for those with high intellect that the average labrat does not possess)

Define ``subconscious''. Tulpa aren't truly sentient either and are just a hallucinatory trick assuming this is just something of mere subconscious manipulation and not something deeper.

>What do you mean by "channels"
A best analogy for materialists is a infinitely flexible electrical wire which is protected by infinitely flexible insulator.
>can you please state the definition of energy
Its a basic concept, like time and space. It can have many forms(heat, electricity, radiation). It can be transformed, produced/converted, dissipated to the environment or spent to perform work or change. The specific form of energy is consumed by tulpa, and this is the energy i talk about.
