I like him, I think his/her insight on certain issues gives me a benchmark to determine what your average, yet rare, everyday critical thinker would consider when thinking about the particular issue.
I want to fuck him up the ass. So yeah I like him.

RedCream often reaches a valid conclusion to his arguments, but he usually does so in the sort of way that I can't follow. As a non-qualified plus, he is probably better-read than everyone else here. It's good to be able to discuss an issue with someone who obviously isn't some 16 year old kid who pulled some opinion out of his ass and naturally thinks it's objective truth.
Also, it seems like RedCream disappeared for a couple of days, and pretty much every post he's had since then has been golden.

All he does is parrot crap he read somewhere and acts all smug like he has uncoverred the truth until the argument is criticised at which point he starts spewing out batshit crazy bullshit that makes no fucking sense.

Why don't you just come out and admit that being well read is a liability in American culture?

Typical response from a typical teenager. RedCream is sometimes smug because he knows that some of his beliefs are shared by people much smarter than him. These people, many of whom have/had doctorates, were able to articulate their beliefs using reason.
What about you? Of course, you've never picked up a book without a school teacher telling you to. You probably don't even know where your beliefs come from. Ever hear of John Stuart Mill? Of course not. Let me throw something at you: you aren't as smart as John Stuart Mill. Sorry, but that's the truth. He could articulate his viewpoints. He could argue a point to a level of truth only slightly inferior to that of the mathematical. You can't do that. So, when someone 'parrots' an argument from Mill or someone similar, that argument is superior to your "this is what I believe and if you don't agree you're a poopyhead".

If you actually take the time to read the crap redcream posts in a certain thread, you'll soon find that he seldom stays to a point and leaps away to some hot-button issue as soon as it looks like he might be wrong. He doesn't want to be closer to the truth. He doesn't want to learn or to change people's minds.
He just wants you to pay attention to him.
Just another namefag... and I'm guessing, a middle child.
It would bother a lot of people if they knew I was an everyman, like most everyone else here on this board, and that it's possible to read a lot and think critically and not end up in some tabloid or news item. In fact, the opposite tends to happen ... since as I implied, honest intellectualism is a liability in America. Our colleges and institutions are filled with dishonest intellectuals toeing the party line, since if they didn't, they'd be expelled and have to fend for themselves ... like I do!

i like him and hate him at the same time. Redcream get your ass back to /lounge/ i don't see you spamming truth enough.
I'm sure RedCream is a great person outside of politics...(hahaha) but even smart people can get blinded by ideology. (As much as he thinks he's an original thinker and beyond these silly little games)
Here is how ideology(and religion as well) work as opposed to logical thought.
Ideology (A)
Fact(A) is heard. Now... a few things may happen depending on their level of intelligence.
If the person is stupid (TYPE A) - They will repeat themselves and not offer any new argument. These individuals spout rhetoric and have no original thought (average person usually included in this)
Above average intelligence (TYPE B) - The individual will look at fact A and figure out a way for it to be wrong. They will either find a small piece of it that is unfounded in some way and then build off of that to make a contradictory fact that agrees with their brain. They may also just ignore and not process certain information in order to get an idea or fact to agree with their ideology and thus make sweeping generalized statements.
High intelligence (TYPE C) - These people create ideology and control dumber people with their ideas. They take fact A, and knowing individuals will eat up anything they identify with, will either make things up and repeat them until they are true, or spin the fact by leaving out key details. They profit off less intelligent people in some way or another (self satisfaction or material profit).
Unfortunately... ideology is a powerful thing. Everyone has one that they identify with regardless of what they say. People identify who they are with "their" ideas once they go through puberty (that or become an hero), and challenging those ideas challenges their sense of self.
His pompous attitude is merely a tool he uses to protect his little ideology. He often gets challenged with valid facts that are contradictory to his ideology (a week one at that), makes sweeping generalizations, and then reassures himself by acting pompous in order to reaffirm his identity. I would assume he is some sort of type A/B intelligence.
So... do I like RedCream? Like a democrat loves an illegal immigrant. I like arguing with easily manipulated morons. He's better off rooting for some baseball team rather than talking politics with adults.
Name:
Anonymous2007-08-20 19:04 ID:0/y2NEb7
(TYPE O-) - These people attempt to win people over to their way of classifying people by creating bullshit on 4chan (more petentious person usually included in this).
Sadly, the best way to toss a "LordRiordan" into a tizzy is to be socially Liberal and fiscally Conservative (as I am). Minor aneurysms occur inside his overmind and then a lot of brain-damage-convoluted rhetoric gets emitted. Frequent claims are made of "parroting", but as long as it's the truth, that shouldn't matter. Other claims are made of "arrogance", but again, as long as what's said is true, that shouldn't matter either.
In effect, a "LordRiordan" type of mentality goes into an ad hominem overdrive once it encounters well reasoned arguments against whatever of its sacred cows it holds most dear at the moment. After that, it's all a matter of killing the messenger than ever dealing with the facts of the matter. People really follow along, too, since ad hominem actions tend to be a lot more fun than dry exposures of facts and figures of what the topic should have been.
Hate to break it to you RedCream, but I fuck on the first date and pinch my pennies too; however, I am a traditional Conservative in the way that I don't like government and would like it smaller. Socialism, self hatred, and pacifism are things I cannot stand for.
I'm sorry that you can't deal with not having original thoughts. Your arguments aren't well reasoned... they are self destructive and ineffective.
>>25 FAIL. This thread is about me, and by extension people who talk about me. Go on other threads with actual topics if you can't handle that, you prancing nancyboy.
>>26 Bullshit. Pick one argument point I've made and debate it. Elsewise, you're just blowing smoke like the other gayfaggors here who pretend to have debate skill.
And finally, you want a smaller government, and you can't stand pacifism. Those don't add up. Your kind REQUIRES a huge and intrusive government in order to enact your warfreak tendencies. That's why we have a Faux Conservative in the White House who presides over the largest federal government ever devised. You're no more a social Conservative then that fucko is.
Name:

Well, for one, you can simply not have the government involved in everyone's personal lives while spending more budget on military.
That seems pretty simple.. I'm debating you in other topics... so why pretend like I'm not? I'm giving you half ass responses because I'm off to a party to go drink and fuck =)
I don't like cameras... I don't like nanny laws... and I don't like money redistribution. I've dedicated my life to healing others... that means I can't punch someone in the mouth before they punch me?
Pacifism is a fairytale... it cannot exist. Its beyond most humans abilities... and because you and I live in a world with most other people, pacifism therefor does not work.
Enjoy your night nerd =p

STFU yourself. The real RedCream (i.e. me) knows how to use BBCode.
>>28
Your fiscal conservatism makes you a good neighbor. Your social militancy means you'll never receive an invitation for dinner. I can live with that.
Also, being anti-war is not pacifism. I stand ready to defend myself, and by doing so, lethal force can only be assumed. However, that doesn't mean slipping into some camo and attacking Iraqis who are no threat to me and with whom I have no quarrel. The same goes for Iran, which has every right to seek to develop nuclear technology (and hopefully it gets a nuclear weapon soon, since the West is always looking to invade). Your militancy doesn't allow you to admit that being in a community of nations means EQUALITY, not SUPREMACY.
Once some Iraqi makes it to the American shore to start some shit, I'll put him down with a .308 rifle bullet. That's the proper use of self defense.
Name:

What I don't understand is why you think its ok to get nuked. Wanting to be vaporized by a nuclear bomb simply because you don't agree with your country's stance on policy (or can't handle it evidently) is a little crazy.
You should seek some help.
So long as there is more than one nation, supremacy will always be the issue. No politician wants equality... these are greedy people. You have to think within the confines of how the world works, and not how you would like it to work.
>>34
The keeping of weapons cannot be denied to the rest of the world without invoking Imperial practices, which themselves only enhance the chances of getting nuked. You live in a society where people around you are armed, and you seem perfectly fine with the chance that one of those guys can come up behind you and blow your head off. Get a sense of perspective; the USA can't rule the world, and in fact nobody can. Your gyrations on this matter are only making things worse, policy wise.
Once the USA learns to take it's place in the COMMUNITY OF NATIONS, at least this current flirtation with world war will stop. The only place where "first among equals" fits is in a small book by Orwell.

That would be a fine theory if that's what everyone else wanted.

Oh, I see. I should try to start off my conversations with the assumption that I'm wrong, then. After all, it's not like anyone sane really thinks they're right and tries to use facts and observation to form opinions based upon verifiable reality.
Retard. The real problem here is that unlike what you turds experience in your real, propaganda-soaked lives, I'm in command of facts and figures and those tend to counter the propaganda that afflicts you. You don't get real debates in your daily lives, since the people who surround you are as equally insulated from reality ... kind of like working in an air-conditioned office tower, arranging murders, right before the instant when you look up at a B757 just about to hit your office window. Reality is out there beyond your defensive line, but it's a lot more powerful than you think and your defenses have only worked due to a larger defense paradigm.

one thing redcream iran has stated it has malisious intent with its nuclear capilibity including against the united states.
>>47
Therefore, it sure sounds to me like the USA should stop threatening Iran. What came first, the chicken (Western control of Persia) or the egg (Iran's militancy)? Check your history and you'd see that indeed the chicken came first in this situation.
Also, while you're busily pleading innocent while waving arms soaked in the blood of others, the US has been threatening the entire world with nuclear capability for over 60 years. Once again, you are unable to see that you live in the world's leading rogue nation. You're unable to see that your military is the world's leading terrorist group (other than Russia' terrorist military). You live in an Empire and all empires run on Human blood and misery. Well, welcome perhaps to BLOWBACK. You should have known all along that ruling the world with an iron fist only gets you a bullet in the head eventually.
I will not allow the USA to start WWIII in my name. After the US obviously gave up trying to bring Al Qaeda and OBL to justice, there is no self-defensive action resulting in the Middle East. We deserve what's coming. We deserve it, since we're the Nazi Germany of the 21st Century. Rome fell in a miasma of its own delusions and hatreds, and so will we.

Rome fell because it nationalised it's industries which stifled innovation and entrepeneurship. Also the large size of the state meant that it had difficulty keeping it's armies disciplinned and adaptable as it had done in it's glorious past.

I don't see how outsourcing is similiar to Rome's nationalization. The US military-industrial complex is extensive in it's research in the extreme, in the early 50s they were experimenting with nuclear powerred planes and anti-submarine suicide bomber dolphins one can only guess what they've covertly tried/achieved since then. If Europe, Russia or China conceives of a way to increase military power they can be sure the Americans have already been there done that 10 times over and bought the snow globe.
The Roman empire also fell due to climate change affecting wheat production shiting the balance in favour of the nomadic barbarians who were only slightly less capable at producing arms and armour than the slave economy of Rome.

It must be nice being a libertarian. You can just make up history and it's too difficult to disprove your wild claims. Let me guess, the British and Dutch empires also fell because they nationalized their industry. You don't need to pick up a history book or read "American Theocracy" to know that. You just do, because libertarianism is so great.
Fit hat's really your reply then you just don't get it, kid. Which is precisely why you fall under the A and B types.

Oh, but you should see it. You cannot have a functioning economy in which the means of production are out of your control. Eventually, you lose control and your base fails. It happened to the Roman Empire, and it's happening NOW in the "Holy American Empire".
"Wheat production". Wow, that's so far off base that it's not even in the ball park. Empires fall in general terms by failing to sustain the economic energy of a thriving culture. In short, you have to make your own stuff, and use you own people. By using other people's stuff and personnel, you lose your national identity.
>>57 I am a total douche. I'm not here to make friends. Speaking the truth in America (and the West) is now so demonized that any such behavior garners protests. So, I'd rather be the total douche than to suck your politicocks to make your Empire seem fine and dandy. We Westerners are horrible people; it's time to stop pretending we aren't. It's time to STOP ... before Islam gets so pissed off at us that they really nuke us dead just on general principles.

I saw this on a placard at my local muslim community's frequent and arbitrary rallies.
"DEMOCRACY IS HYPOCRACY, BEHEAD THOSE WHO DENY THAT ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE"
>>59
That's correct. But since we're each condemned to only understand things as we see them, we're forced to use that as the truth. Wise men know that that should force you to seek out information and to remain educated in a changing world.
On top of that, I'm certainly NOT going to sit here and think, "well, my viewpoint is colored by myself, so I should take what that other motherfucker on 4chan says as gospel". Somehow unattributed opinions from others should take precedence over my own, well-constructed opinions? I think not.
>>60
That's not really that surprising. The surprising thing is how YOU think that bombing entire peoples is somehow going to convince them that using bombs is wrong, and further that YOU don't even understand such hypocrisies in your own culture.

Well you said westerners are horrible people, well so are Muslims. The difference is we don't believe it is ok to criticise us so every time one of their schools is napalmed we are making the world a better place.
Muslims are horrible people aswell, what makes us superior is that we allow criticism which means in our society it is harder to be horrible and get away with it.
>>64
OK, I can buy the former assertion of some superiority on that basis, but that still doesn't give you license to bomb them. In fact, being so quick to bomb and to do so in a genocidal fashion, is a mark against our superiority. I do believe you argued this back to Square One, at least.
Also, despite the relative openness of your society, Kissinger is still running around free for doing what Pinochet did. It's easy to "get away with it" in our society if you're one of the Imperialists. Protecting warhawks is a marked point of our society's inferiority.
