Name: Anonymous 2006-06-13 15:51

We revert to katanas and machetes.  Fine with me.

unamerican dick.  you stfu.  thank god we have leaders who won't bend over and let the 2nd amendment get raped by the UN

>>4

You can't use those now? anyway, there's no reason to oppose guns just because you like katanas and machetes.

the right to bear arms of any kind won't be supported by the gun-control crowd, generally.  stick to principle, if you want weapons, support the right to bear them... firearms, swords, knives, whatever

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-13 16:39

>>7
True. In UK they have banned several kinfes and swords. Now they're considering banning airguns, crossbows and replicas.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-13 16:44

Works better in Switzerland. People have even missiles and cannons there.

Why do I need feeling for security? I ain't fearing death or any terrorists and neither should you. Such incidents are as rare as winning lottery. Stop worrying and have fun. Gun control is trade between freedom and security. I tend to choose freedom.

Well said! I 100% agree.  Go out, buy a gun, shoot off some rounds.  It rules...

lol at the NRA. Have they forgotten that the US has veto power in the U.N ? I mean wtf is it with them getting all panicy and acting like it's CCCP 2.0 ?

Put a cap in your head and make world a better place. No-one is forcing you to live in some slummy hellhole and no-one is forcing you to go out at night or visit shady bars. In 90% of gun related deaths there's also fault in owner. Modern natural selection. Stupid people tend to die.

So? Our politicians have the power to preserve our liberties as well, but they don't do so unless you take a stand, and give them a vote for doing so.  Opposition to the U.N. gun ban is essential unless you want it to become reality.

Also, it's in principle that it is outrageous that an assortment of dictators, fascists, communists, and mass murderers from various hell-holes the world over would have a say in what freedoms we enjoy here in the United States, or, for that matter, what laws we should have to live by.

They've already fucked up their countries with their shitty style of government, why should they have any say what goes on here?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 0:22

I really wouldn't worry too much about this gun ban.  The people in America who do own guns won't give them up without a fight.  It would litterally be suicide to try and enforce any kind ban on guns, especially hunting rifles.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 0:31

>>21

Clinton's draconian Assault Weapons ban passed, and we had several years under it.  Do we want our gun restrictions in the USA to mimmick Canada, where, so I hear, you can't own much but bolt action rifles, shot guns, and a VERY restricted selection of handguns?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 1:36

Duhhhhhhhh, maybe you're missing the point.
The ban will never happen because everyone in america will go fucking bananas the second someone tries to take away their guns.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:00

>>23

I don't understand.  The Clintonian assault weapons ban passed.  People didn't seem to fight that...  well, I guess the republicans were elected pretty solidly the next few elections, but still..

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:09

Vote libertarians. They actually care for your rights.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:21

>>24
Not many people care about assult weapons.
Most gun owners are only concerned with handguns, rifles, and shotguns.  Very few people want semi-automatic machine guns.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:26

>>26
Assault weapons ban banned more than that. Particularly it banned high cap mags which is very bad thing for any recreational shooter.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:38

>>25

100% agree.

>>27

I don't know shit about the gun world, to be honest.  Nonetheless, whether or not something is bad for people, it's their choice to use it or not, period.

It doesn't matter what firearms, or freedoms the ban took.  It was morally wrong from the beginning, IMO.

If something was really "bad" for recreational shooters, they could always stop using it.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:42

>>26

Those few who want them should be able to have them, so long as they don't cause direct harm to anyone in the process.

Don't tell me semi-auto or auto weapons will cause huge massacres, that is total shit.

In Israel recently, a terrorist pulled out a fully automatic weapon in a crowd, and he only managed to shoot ONE person, before another person from the crowd pulled out a gun and shot him on the spot.

I don't even know if the guy died from the terrorist.  It's beside the point.  All those "there will be bloodshed in the streets" claims are just scare tactics.  There is no real danger, as long as the rest of society is armed.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 2:55

>>29

They are legal right now in the U.S., if I'm not mistaken, and there is no such violence or bloodshed.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 3:02

2/3 of gun related incidents are people protecting themselves. If you ban guns the criminals are still gonna get them (hell, there's 12 year olds in south cental L.A. running around with Tec-9's) banning guns will only make it more difficult for honest law abiding citizens to protect themselves from dangerous criminals. and like >>29 said, if every1 has a gun then the dumbass who pulls out a gun atrys to cap som1 is gonna die (thats one less criminal). There's a reason the founding fathers  made the second amendment second, because it was really important. We won our freedom with guns and we'll keep it with guns. When hitler took over germany do you know what he did? he enacted gun registration laws on the grounds of Keeping peace and having a secure nation,
"This year* will go down in history! For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"- Adolf Hitler
Once hitler started his opression do you know what he did? He took everbodies guns so nobody could oppose him!

Dictators have many things in common, one of them is that they take their peoples only means of resistance and defence, throughout the ages the weapons have changed, from free speech to the press, and swords to guns. This ploy for the U.N. is dangerous, because either they are doing exactly what every other dictator has done before assuming absolute control, or they are just plain idiots. Either situation is bad news.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 3:10

>>28
I mean that law was negative not positive. Meaning that it's bad cause recreational shooters couldn't buy new hi-cap mags which aren't really tool of criminal, but tool of fun and entertainment.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 3:28

>>31
VERY TRUE!

Ahahaha, funny crank site, I'll share it with the Internet.  Man, I didn't think the gun nuts were cranks, now I know, wow.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 9:41

I think it's just the fear-enducing media of the US that keeps the people armed. The message may not be direct but it's definately there: "If you don't own a gun you're in grave danger." The problems themselves could be smaller than are given out in these ready-chewed pieces of half-entertainment news that americans get every evening. Gee, I wonder how many gun producing companies are among the Forbes 500.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 9:51

>>35
I can't really think any reason why every law-abiding citizen shouldn't be armed. I mean guns are just tools and you can never be too prepared or have too much tools. Now what is problem is that many people don't know shit about gun safety and that is cause of 99% of gun accidents. Might be hugely reduced if gun safety was taught in schools. Not that such accidents are common problem, but gun safety classes can't be bad thing and they don't invade anyone's freedoms.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 10:01

they,re teaching kids to have sex so they should teach them how to make rapists go away while they're at it (bang bang)

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 10:23

I can't really think any reason why every law-abiding citizen shouldn't be armed.

I know far too many people with a short fuse to think this is a good idea. Many lives ruined in a moment of passion.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 10:35

>>35
So what's your solution? Get people to buy guns from companies that are not in Forbes 500 and tell people they are safe without guns?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 10:40

>>39
If people started buying guns from smaller companies... they would stop buying guns at all because there would be no lobbying for it (assuming the large terrorist organizations that produce weaponary go out of business).

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 10:55

>>39 My point was that producing guns is a big businness in America and someone's gotta buy all those guns. How do we get people to buy more and more guns? Make them feel insecure.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 11:52

>>40
>>41
So do you agree or what? Don't you want people who are corrupting the government and lying to the public to go out of business if that is what is happenning?

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 14:29

>>34

Yeah vote for gun-control you shithead.  Enjoy your police state.

>>35

The media is fear-inducing, that's true.  However, that fear wasn't intended to get people to buy guns.  That fear was to get people to support the government blindly, so they feel safe and protected.  (9/11 --> Patriot Act, NSA/Domestic Spying)

One could also say it is to get people to support gun-control.
(Columbine---->Gun-Control)

Of course, this is irrational, as if the teachers at columbine were armed, things would likely have been way different.  Gun proliferation prevents massacres regularly in Israel, as well as other countries... (I think Switzerland was named)? There is no reason whatever why it wouldn't work here as well.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 17:09

yah there would be no lobbying at all.....OH YEAH, except of course for the second fucking amendment. You dont get better representation for your company than having it IN THE CONSTITUTION.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 17:36

Well there's gotta be something wrong if the gun-related deaths are like 10 times higher than in other countries.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 18:59

>>45

Who cares? Just because someone died doesn't mean you can take away the most fundamental of all human rights--the right to self defence and the right to bear arms.

Seriously people...  People die.  Gun-control is NOT the solution, it's been proven.  Not only will it disarm law-abiding folks which COULD ACTUALLY PREVENT MORE GUN RELATED DEATHS....

So gun-control is not the solution.  What can we do to stop gun deaths? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.  Nor should we try, either.  The risk of dieing in a manner like that is a lot smaller than the risk of dieing in an auto accident, and we aren't banning automobiles.

Gun-control is the irrational product of a bunch of emotional people who are sad because someone they know has died from a gun accident, or because of some irrational fear.  Nobody sane/rational gives a shit or worries about dieing to gun violence, and even if they did, the best solution, as already stated, is to just buy a gun yourself to protect yourself.

Gun-control and crime--how does it work in England? Read for yourself... link below.

http://www.haciendapub.com/humeven1.html

Anyone concerned with women's rights should be concerned about politicians wanting to take their guns.  News flash:  Guns are the great equalizers.  You don't need to be strong to defend yourself with a firearm.  Logic then leads you to the conclusion that women are safer from rapists and other violent crimes when they HAVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS than otherwise.

As said in the article, the 2nd amendment of the US is great news for the 17 million + female gun owners in the US.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 20:33

I find it odd how hard it's for today's people to accept that people die and why they're so goddamn paranoid. I think this trend began in late 80s or 90s and it needs to be stopped.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 21:14

>>45 well that may be due to thew fact that other countries don't have nearly the same population as us, also those gun deaths also include self defence and suicides i believe(not positive). And if your gonna complain about a country with high gun deaths look at brazil. They have 38,000 a year! more than the US or any other nation for that matter, and get this they have about half the population!

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 21:43

>>48
Well, Brazil doesn't have much gun control. Prettymuch like in US, but then again in Switzerland any conscription age reached male has rights to own guns and there aren't much murders out there. Military service is compulsory though and after service soldiers get to own their rifles(full auto and all). People have even rocket launchers and autocannons over there. No wonder even Hitler didn't have courage to invade. Violence is not related to guns, but social problems and also cultural aspects.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-14 21:48

>>49

The US should relax it's gun-control laws and be more like that.  Full autos have so much restrictions on them, seriously.

Name: Anonymous 2006-06-15 0:28
