If genetically engineering humans became accepted and practical there no limit to what could be accomplished.  Virtually all diseases could be cured, and birth defects like homosexuality and blackness could be gotten rid of as well.

Black skin isn't the problem, it's other variations that cause the trouble. For a future society that wants genetic engineering to become commonplace, people will have to see things logically. The best skin is probably mediteranean type skin, that is pale enough to produce vitamin D in cloudy countries, but that will tan quickly when exposed to UV. We will have to accept that beauty must not interfere with function to the point of absurdity. Making sure all women have full breasts and all men have 6+ inchers, but not going over the top and doing things like making everyone albino or anything crazy like that.

Genetic engineering is awesome, but you can't change stuff like sexuality and other things that are related more to upbringing than genes. What you can do however is to give them superhuman learning capabilities, superhuman strength etc. Problem is that you can't change yourself with it though as you're already born. That's why I prefer cybernetics and robotics. Besides steel is stronger than flesh and you can always repair a machine. Machine body is also much more better in other ways. You can always change it when needed and utilise different bodies/bodyparts for different purpose.

I think homosexuality more than likely is a genetic trait.  Homosexuals tend to have very specific physical traits.  They seem normal enough to the average person, but when you take closer look most homosexuals have certain shared traits, such as facial structure.  It could just be a coincidence, but I think it's more than likely the two are related.
Additionally, homosexuality isn't really related to a person's upbringing.  There are plenty of gays out in the world who were raised just like everyone else.

Still there have been no worthwhile studies to prove anything, and it really doesn't matter what it is.  Either you are gay or you aren't, how it happened doesn't matter.  I don't care how they come to be, why should i?

I'm not desperate really. I just find men more comfortable and understandable. Being man myself it's easier to understand men than women, but what you think is gay then if any man is capable of loving man? Notably examples of this also being several Asian countries(ie. actually why would you need genetic engineering to get a bigger penis anyways.  i mean assuming penis size is even mostly genetic, and women prefer men with larger penises, that should mean that large penis genes should be prefered to be carried to the next generation and over time lead to the overall largening of the average human penis over time.....shouldn't it???

Also, you don't mean genetic engineering, you mean gene therapy. Genetic engineering affects the gene itself, gene therapy implants a gene into cells so they start producing a protein on their own.

Not really. Flesh is weak and just a disadvantage. If we truly wish to evolve ourselves to higher level we should look at cybernetics and robotics. Will take quite long time before that's possible though.
