Ah god yes Singnet. Really? Miobox - that 2wire white box thing has been going on and off the past few days as well. but i'm still happy with dynamic. if i get one post on a certain board, i'd get abnormal reply from other boards. would suck to get stuck with a static ip though.

It got worse for me. Threads i made last week keep disappearing now. Me and other anons had always maintained them in the first 10 pages. Just gone ;_;. Why kill legit threads and ban people just because of isp, when they contribute board relevant material while the spammers are still killing /tv/, /a/ and the like?
>>32
but the threads on 4chan /have/ been removed - like a mass delete of all the posts i made. so i don't think it's only our side that's being an issue ;_;. i'll wait for a few days or go on my board's irc or something.

there was a similar phase in summer 2010 when i couldn't post on 4chan and it got a rather worrying ISP ban block page or something (can't really remember). now it feels like i'm a strange ghost looking at people talking about the things i love without being able to say anything to anyone there. some people do know it's an ISP issue as i got through to them via another site. but that link may not exist in the future and i'd be a strange ghost again. i don't even have facebook - this is the only social interaction i have ;_;. might do the singaporean thing and get one. haha...

managed to get a post after switching off and turning on the miobox.
Kinda unrelated - for /a/nons who might have missed it: gantz waiting room finished dorohedoro volume 16! And iirc superior cross 5 was done by someone else as well. My hp makes formatting a nightmare. Apologies.

Over the past 4 to 5 days, I can get in one or two posts after the router reset before I get the abnormal reply. dnsflush or releasing and reacquiring new ips via cmd was useless. singtel's connection has been spotty for me and the router would turn and off on its own - it's been doing that every 6 hours or so these few days. I'm thinking until 4chan changes its code or spam filter, we're gonna be stuck with this problem.

Why are you on 4chan or even here? Go back to 9gag and laugh at pictures of taxis and uncleaned hawker centre tables.
So what? we can't argue with our own favourite boards, so we're arguing with each other here? shouldn't we be working together to find away to bypass the 'abnormal reply' bullshit?!
>>107
You put Singaporeans in such close proximities and this sort of thing is bound to happen. Especially when they're Aspie-tier "Hurr, Durr, I'm so bleedin' special because I can use grammar better than the rest of you and I can post on 4chan! Look at me!"
The only way to bypass this is via a technological solution like proxies.
>From the same education system as the rest of us and thinks he's superior somehow because he can capitalize as well as a 10 year old
The point is that you and friends cannot even capitalize, thus showing yourself to be inferior.
>Adding nothing of value to the conversations
The irony hurts.
>http://www.wvup.edu/jcc/pam/commas.htm
>Be sure that the word is an introductory word, not a modifier, before you use a comma after it. Also as illustrated below, no comma is necessary after the introductory word hence, thus, then, or still.
>However, necessary repairs must be made. (However is an introductory word.)
>However necessary the repairs may be, we cannot afford to make them now. (However functions as an adverb; it modifies the adjective necessary.)
>Thus we should test several types of machines first; then we should select the one that best meets our needs.

Is the problem with Singtel or 4chan? I just saw the other thread (http://dis.4chan.org/read/tech/1181467366) it looks like there are other countries with the same problem.
We're all using the same ISP (singnet, singapore). The ISP uses dynamic IPs.
Could this be the problem? Is it an action taken on the 4chan side, or is our ISP being shitty again? We would appreciate it if we could know more/get help on this.
Is there a way to solve this?
Personally I've been visiting 4chan since 2006. It is very frustrating not being able to post and take part in discussions.

Don't think this will get resolved anytime soon.
Worrying ad spamming bans cite ban will be lifted sometime in March.
Christ, how am I going to normalfag till then...
>you and friends
It's not a grammatical error. It's a proper noun that refers to the entire group of, well, you and your friends. Dumbass. Don't drag me down to your N-levels.
>>127
Aw, you went back to check your primary school English book? And that took you three days? You've repeatedly outed yourself as a monkey depending on a few grammar rules you memorized wholesale to use blindly without any regard for the language or its nuances. I'd suggest you retake PSLE first.

That would be a US ISP then... Singnet is an ISP from Singapore, South-East Asia. We're assigned dynamic IPs. Have you been assigned a static IP or is it dynamic?
Name:
Tanko2012-01-12 13:55
>>145 Not sure... I think its dynamic but Hughesnet has a weird way of using IPs..and it has a certain amount of IPs and uses the same IPs...and It shares IP with numbers of other hughesnet users....so its possible for me to get banned for something somebody else did...
I might have found the solution to solve this 'abnormal' problem. Can anyone teach me how to do this step by step tutorial?
Something to make things easier for us:
function FindProxyForURL(url, host)
{
if (shExpMatch(url, "http://*.4chan.org/*/imgboard.php"))
return "PROXY IP.Add.re.ss:Port";
else
return "DIRECT";
}
Put your proxy-address next to the "PROXY", save it as [whatever].pac, and select it in your browser for proxy auto configuration. This way 4chan stays fast and you are able to reply.

Check if your addon is on as well - Click start if it's not. Usually when it's not on, I get the Abnormal Reply again. Still not a redirect though. What boards do you get that ban thing?
From the start, if I tried to access 4chan without using proxy.singnet.com.sg, half the time if I click to view a board i'll either get redirected to the 4chan homepage or a ban page. I changed the last 2 digits already. Also is not a browser issue as it happens to me on Chrome as well.

I have the same problem, guys. Since 1-18-2012, I can access all the other boards, but I just can't access /a/. This is painful for me, because I'm an animu fan, and 4chan's /a/ is probably the best place on the internet to discuss animu.
