Do text boards have a bump limit?

Network share mIRC... So they caught on to IRC as well? Why would IRC be safer than ddls? From my wanderings into the #4chan, #r/a/dio, i can see my own ip and others'... And how does one fly without revealing their IPs?

Use vHost to conceal your identity on the channels, but they can't really track down who are the ones downloading stuffs in the channel. (not everyone in the channel has to be downloading 'illegal' materials)

>R.I.P DDLs
P2P rules, it will never be shut down since there is never a single point of failure.

1K post limit.

Thanks, worked nicely. However I still have the problem where sometimes i'll just get redirected to the 4chan homepage, or it shows that I've been banned. It's really irritating. Any way to get around that?

Never gotten any redirects. Then again, I don't rapid fire posts or anything. Just a few posts here or there. Change the last 2 digits from 15 to 34 or something like that. Are you on firefox or chrome?

So how do channels ban people who don't seed and just leech? Heard something along those lines from one of those scanlators. And since mIRC isn't free, any alternatives for Windows?

Check if your addon is on as well - Click start if it's not. Usually when it's not on, I get the Abnormal Reply again. Still not a redirect though. What boards do you get that ban thing?

Shit, I thought I wasn't the only one.

From the start, if I tried to access 4chan without using proxy.singnet.com.sg, half the time if I click to view a board i'll either get redirected to the 4chan homepage or a ban page. I changed the last 2 digits already. Also is not a browser issue as it happens to me on Chrome as well.

Any idea why this happens?

Try to reset router? Flush dns cache, let go and reacquire a different IP? Not sure what's wrong...

Xchat/Chatzilla

>>249
That's the problem with dynamic IPs, had it since long ago.

With the x forwarded for header mod, that shouldn't be a problem from all the stuff i've been reading. Weird.

Took all my effort to get on the 4chan IRC, then I see this:

Topic for #4chan is “#4chan | Cached ban error? This is a known problem that cannot be resolved at this time. ETA: 1975”

It's official, we're fucked.

See >>226  - try and see if it works for you. I remember being entirely banned out in 2009 for something other IPs did and couldn't even lurk or save pics like now.

"There was no entry in our database for your ban. Therefore, the reason for this ban cannot be automatically determined. It is likely that your ISP is caching a ban intended for someone else. Please contact a moderator on #4chan @ irc.rizon.net with your IP address (IP adress) for more details. Moderators are channel ops (@) and half-ops (%)."

I have the same problem, guys. Since 1-18-2012, I can access all the other boards, but I just can't access /a/. This is painful for me, because I'm an animu fan, and 4chan's /a/ is probably the best place on the internet to discuss animu.

I still haven't tried doing a DNS flush yet. Maybe that will fix it.

I still might try to get on 4chan's Rizon chat. Shouldn't the mods be able to fix it for you personally if you give them your IP address?

Dynamic IP dude.

Honesty, /a/ has turned to shit lately.
You're not really missing out on much.

Here is a link to a thread on the Computers BBS talking about the 4chan ban error:

http://dis.4chan.org/read/comp/1327064370/1-40

Apparently, a lot of people are having this problem.

"There was no entry in our database for your ban. Therefore, the reason for this ban cannot be automatically determined. It is likely that your ISP is caching a ban intended for someone else. The thing is, we can still browse, just that we can't post.

Name: Anonymous 2012-01-31 16:18

>>256
I would be really shocked if the mods are willing to take time off the circlejerk to fix anything.
