I put some dotfiles on github once but that was before I knew github wasn't GNU FREE and before I knew about gitorious.
I use zsh cause I am a shell novice. What do you recommend instead?

Also I use Arch Linux. I am pretty darn unhappy with it.
I am looking to switch to Debian, Slackware or GUIX next time I have the patience to do an operating systems switch.

I should also mention that the other reason I use zsh is because of:
The thing that turns me most about GUIX is the fact that there are two names for a package; the scheme symbol and the value of the package name slot in the structure that symbol represents. This is very idiotic and makes me strongly doubt the experience of the people behind the project.

But vim is a great editor, and vimmers don't tend to be as gung ho about forcing it on others like emacs users are.

And an "amen" to that, brother. I've recently started to learn Lisp and everyone's saying "use emacs, you have to use emacs, lisp can only be written in emacs slime". What the fuck? Why do I have to switch to an inferior text editor just to write in some language? Perhaps the emacs tyranny is the reason Lisp is so unpopular: nobody wants to use a language if it means using some shitty finger-breaking kludge.

That depends what you mean by faggot. If you mean in the most literal sense where faggot is a derogatory term for a male homosexual, then you "know" when you realize you are sexually attracted to men.
If you mean it as a catchall term for a male person that you, or a society finds unpleasant. Then that of course depends on your and/or the societies preferences.
Also OP and others, may I remind you that it's 2013 and you shouldn't use gay slurs for a number of reasons. Imagine the hardship that gay people go through in life for a second next time you feel like using gay slurs. Maybe if you had some experience being looked down on, excluded and ashamed of something you have no control over, you'd be less cavalier about using language that propagates the cultural sentiment of treating gays like the lesser.
Oh wow
>you have a repo at Github where you share your `dotfiles'
I found a lot of useful stuff by looking at other people's dotfiles, why wouldn't I share mine?
you know you're a faggot when you know what a goddamn DOTFILE is. i mean seriously what the fuck? do you mean like ".git" or ".shit" or ".nigger"? FUCK YOU!

One of the most important dofile for real faggots is their 80 kb .vimrc. It's a ton of vimscript (vimscript...) and some glue for the dozen plugins and colorschemes downloaded from github.
This is not vi. It's eclipse + node.js + pentadactyl + whatever + a splashscreen asking you to give money to help breed even more starving niggers in Uganda. I'd rather use a real IDE than this clusterfuck.

Like emacs?
Because you're a girl by gender, and I don't care for girls by gender. Only girls by sex (i.e. humans with a physical, biological vagina)

Yeah well nothing beats Vim's godlike modes and the divine commands. Pressing "cw" or "dt(" is infinitely better than mouse or Alt-key fuckery out there.
