Hello /prog/, mind telling me what's up with all the weirdo on here? I'm not trying to make a value judgment or anything, but it seems that this board is completely full of nothing but crazed racists, idiotic trolls, complete and total failures, cross-dressers, stalkers, autistic shitposters who defy all posting standards, and worst of all, pedophiles. Surely this can't be representative of the programming community as a whole. Why do such people congregate in this place?

Actually what you see are the people who were left behind. We used to have much better autistic shitposters and EXPERT PROGRAMMERS (often the same people), but most of them left. Get progscrape.py and check out the posts from until about mid-2011.

Everyone here has been kicked out of everywhere else. The only reason we can act like we do here is because there is no moderation. There is no moderation because we can't really do anything too legal, so moot let's us have our little quarantine.
