Hello, I live in Europe. I think your problem is this weird hive mind mentality. You and me are both individuals, certainly we aren't defined by something as arbitrary as geographical borders? I have some comments though.

Few Europeans will ever thank you for saving them from Hitler, because you didn't. Other people who were born on the same continent as you did. You have no right to claim that accomplishment. Another reason is of course that most Europeans weren't alive back then.

Some Eurofags have been known to have backbone. Through the course of history Europeans have waged so many wars that America can't hope to ever reach a tenth of that. Seriously, when it comes to killing everyone else are amateurs. What about the Germans who repeatedly took on the world all by themselves?

As for economics, if you want to do business on a market you follow the rules of that market. That's hardly a European trait.

The reality is that Stalin saved us from Hitler, as the vast majority of German forces fought on the eastern front in WW2. To Americas credit, they did save Europe from Stalin however.

Not quite true.  In the traditional american system of free trade and free markets, everyone benefited from transactions.  The only tarnish on this history of liberty is an admittedly horrible one:  slavery.  We also had laws in place that limited government abuse and gave a revolutionary degree of personal freedom protection to Americans.

I am not saying that the USA is perfect.  Indeed, we frequently run into troubles with getting officials to obey the laws.  I will still say I prefer it to most other countries in the world, including nearly all in Europe.

Your freedom has been dangerously eroded, and your government is abducting people from foreign countries (including Italy and Germany), locking them up, and torturing them. My freedom could be in jeopardy, thanks to fear-driven nationalism. Living on the doorstep of a world-dominating superpower makes me nervous.

Americans are proud of their country not because it is more wealthy or more powerful militarily, but rather that America is the only country born out of the genuine care for the individual. All, and I mean that, other countries are born out of tribal warfare and the restriction of others' rights but America is the bastion of individual freedom. Granted this has changed recently with the passing of some fairly socialist legislature, America is concerned only with individual rights and ability.

Being founded during the enlightenment may be a factor in the stance on liberty.
But founding principals are meaningless after two-hundred years and the founders have long since passed.
Many European countries have gone through revolutions and reconstructions and are now based on constitutional freedoms. Some are behind and some never made it far past the starting gate.
Still, I believe America genuinely deserves recognition for their aid post-WWII (which has already been acknowledged in this thread), but not undying loyalty and freedom from criticism.
