Their home-grown companies put themselves willingly at the feet of Microsoft, and instead of just moving way from Microsoft products, they hold up Microsoft with a shive in their back and force them to empty their wallets to pay for Eu commissioners' private planes and for pensions for every other person alive in Europe.

Europe, you're a petty group of people, with no backbone to speak of, you didn't even say "thank you" for us saving you from Hitler, and you think that the very socialist construct that fell apart right next to you is your salvation, all the while, handing over what pitiful excuses for culture you have - your one and fleeting redeeming quality to mullahs and over to sharia law where its okay to have a North African beat their wife today, and where it will be against the law to have any freedom of speech left fairly soon, lest you draw a cartoon of that camel jockey, Muhammed!

and on top of all that, you're fscking up your entire continent with driving restrictions such that soon, the only markets for your cars will be in America, since you won't be allowed to drive anything but Fiats and even those won't be allowed to go 40 kph.

My petty nationalism? The fact that I am granted my due rights granted me by existance nad that i am proud of it is why I am laughed at? We have the right to live not for our gov't as you Brits do, but for ourselves. We can own what-so-ever we wish; but you can't own guns to defend your lives with against a tyrranical gov't. You say our country will "fuck [American citizens] over in a second" I have a feeling that you say this because yours has already fucked you over. It seems that europeans have a hard-on for the shouting down of America's status, and Europe is subject to a large amount of altruistic political philosophy. Persons under the sway of said altruistic philosophy tend to quickly recognize centers of ability and quickly destroy them so as they are down to a common level. That is what Americans see of your denounciation of America; that, and I hesitate to use the word "jealousy", Europe's acknowledgement that America is a more advanced country economically makes the Europeans denounce America for the sheer apeasement of their feelings towards their own country.

Americans are proud of their country not because it is more wealthy or more powerful militarily, but rather that America is the only country born out of the genuine care for the individual. All, and I mean that, other countries are born out of tribal warfare and the restriction of others' rights but America is the bastion of individual freedom. Granted this has changed recently with the passing of some fairly socialist legislature, America is concerned only with individual rights and ability.
