The looting of New Orleans is the only ethical response to the situation. One has to ask oneself, why is it that on the news coverage of the hundred-thousand stranded in the city limits, every single person remaining is African-American?

It's because the people most screwed by this disaster were the poor, and the poorest Americans are those of African descent. Unable to afford private transportation, they can't get out of the city, and if they left, what would they come back to? Most of them live paycheck to paycheck, if they can even claim to do that well, furthermore centuries of slavery which killed up to fifty million Africans destroyed the socio-cultural systems which non-African Americans have to fall back on in times of stress.

If I was an African-American, I would take any means necessary to take down, burn down, and break down the racist white oppressive system. In anarchy, I would have nothing to lose, and so much to gain.
