There are plenty of ways to delude yourself in order to justify unjust actions. Religion is an easy one, but not nearly the only one, and nowhere near the fundamental cause of what so many people say is at the fault of religion.
On the other hand, I say maybe. God has a pretty important role in some peoples lives, like old people, and prison inmates. He keeps them company and gives them something to look forward to when they die. Well, the prison inmates aren't so lucky... Depentd on what they're in for. And if they're Jews. Blech.

You are mistaken to think of science and Religion as two seperate entities. The Bible (KJV), is the word of God, and, since God is omnipotent, than the Bible is the source of all facts. Therefore science derives straight from the Bible. If it does not agree with The Bible, it is not credible science; see: "psuedo-science". This only applies applies to Christianity, as any other religion (including atheism) is a one way ticket to Hell.

You forgot to put QED at the end of your post, therefore you didn't prove anything at all.

Some of the early Bible versions were in Latin. The current versions are derivates thereof. Therefore, the Bible is a work of the devil (as well as everything written or said during Roman times).
Not true, the original Bibles were written in Greek and Arameic. The Catholic(Satan's) Church only later defiled it by translating it, thats why KJV is the only accurate Bible. Get your facts straight, Satan.

>>11 Ethics/morals can quite possibly be deducted from logic, at least vaguely. There are plenty of things you can delude yourself with to try and justify things like murder and oppression...nationality, pseudo-science, social hierarchy, etc.

You're an idiot. I like how anyone who's not a fanatic atheist gets called a religionfag.

Join me in the Church of Jesusism, we believe in the holy messiah's. These messiah's can come in different forms like human, raptor, demonic, etc. Jesus will save up from evil.

I said some of the early Bible versions not the original Bible. I consider the Roman times to be "early", but it doesn't seem like you agree.
KJV is still English, and hence, by your definition, it is still the work of Satan's.
Like I said, KJV was translated FROM Greek and Aramaic, TO English. I consider none of those languages demonic at all. The statement "some of the early Bibles" is just fluff, it does not mean anything in this argument because the original Bible was not written in Latin. You are not fooling anyone, demon.

orly? I thought Bibles were translated from Greek/Aramaic to Latin, then centuries later to English.
I never disputed your statement that the original Bible was not written in Latin.
When King James declared there would be a new authorized translation of the Bible, he had the scribes translate it from the earliest Bibles that were available. The New Testament was translated from Greek texts, and the Old Testament from the Hebrew texts.
no, it is in human weakness that god gets his power, the need to
feel there is more, god brings hope to the hopeless it may be false but some good must come of it. until we're pure there will be a god

And freedom is slavery, right? Right. More importantly, /sci/ is /rel/ and /rel/ is /sci/. Now, how 'bout sumo'dat science. Like fusion reactors. Do you like fusion reactors? I like fusion reactors. I wonder when they will finally build a profitable one. Fusion seems to be one of those things that are perpetually just a few years away. We have way too many of those.

Yeh, testify! "Fusion is coming." Fusion isn't coming, it's only breathing hard, and as you know, if you breathe that hard for that long, you hyperventilate and lose consciousness. That explains a lot about the state of fusion research today.

>>28 You have no idea what you're talking about. The kings slaughtered any worth of the bible. The folklore in translations by the Church of England are written to be taken literally and shit and piss on the original morals they were written to portray.

Atheism (to be distinguished from "science") is a religion. South Park takes it to an extreme, but they proselytize, they tithe, theyeven have weekly gatherings. If they aren't like this, it just means they aren't a "practicing atheist."
On a more serious note I don't think science would give us any real clue how we got here or why just yet, just like God gave us a shitty explanation for life or a reason to live. I'm fairly sure we'll all be long gone before we know for certain either.
