/prog/coin

We should make our own digital pyramid scheme cryptocurrency! Make sure we, the ``/prog/riders'', get the easy money. We shall fleece the ``degenerate'' Redditors and /g/eeks by setting up ``physical exchanges'' and obtain ``legal tender'' from those with more dollars than sense. ``Through the magic of Lisp'' our mining program will be deemed ``correct'' and ``bug-free'' though it in fact contains many deliberately placed ``undocumented features'' designed to make the difficulty easier for those ``in the know''.

Grains are complex carbohydrates and have tough fibres that promote a healthy digestive system.

Let us ensnare the trust of Reddit mote they vouchsafe us their cash and credit!

Just open blocks early 'to a select few'...
Doesn't really lower the difficulty, but it kills the competition..

Claim you opened it to the public, but only announce to /prog/.
Make first mining difficulty with huge gains and exponentially reduce it.
Name it something like Susscoin/Lambdacoin/SICPcoin/Snakecoin etc instead of /prog/coin
If you have skills change algorithm from scrypt to something new, with backdoor to generate coins faster than competition by using "nonrandom" generator values.

Just according to keikaku.

call it pedophilecoin

not "pedo" because that means "fart" in spanish

Guys, guys, so here's the plan.

We should use that known-to-be backdoored by the NSA ECC thing as the cryptographic basis for coin mining!

Then, as our coins grow in value, the NSA will be sorely tempted to start generating them using their backdoor! But once they start doing that, of course they wouldn't want the currency just die because that's like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs!

On the contrary, the NSA would use all its significant resources including its best minds to stabilize the currency, prevent establishment of fraudulent exchanges, fix bugs in the client, find and punish hackers who steal NSAcoin from the users (because that damages the reputation of the currency), push for its recognition by the government, and so on! Yeah, by the way it will be called NSAcoin, obviously.

Well now that you've said it publicly everybody knows and it won't work.
Next time you have an idea email me directly.

Well now that you've said it publicly everybody knows and it won't work.
Why not? It's a proper devilishly cunning plan: even if you tell everybody about it, they still inevitably fall for it! It's like dogecoin: it positively basks in its own silliness, everyone knows that it's a joke, a gamble, and a way to enrich the creator, people laugh and still buy it.

Oh by the way, NSA should totally like the way bitcoin-based protocols preserve the history of every transaction ever made, as a fundamental design property, and if you gain access to the logs of the exchanges at any point you can correlate real people with their wallets and have every single payment ever, down to the last reddit tip, deanonymized. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they invented bitcoin, just like CIA invented TOR. I hope they wouldn't perceive NSAcoin as competition!

just like CIA invented TOR
False.
The navy invented onion-routing, a design which Tor is based on.
Also it's Tor, not TOR.

Name: Anonymous 2014-01-05 0:23

So can I use TOR to browse pedorider safely?

Name: Anonymous 2014-01-05 14:58

Tor will protect you from some things but won't from other things such as javascript attacks.
So yes and know.

It was the Naval Research Laboratory that has no relation to the Navy and is not even funded by the government directly but whores itself to any three-letter agency that asks.

But OK, sure, please continue your secret subversive activity using the software handed out to you by the government, olololo.

Name: Anonymous 2014-01-06 14:50

You're a fucking moron.
You know who invented and funded most of the important protocols used on the internet? The US government.
Unless you're a hypocrite you should stop using the internet immediately, since I'm sure you also think IP has backdoors in it.

Name: Anonymous 2014-01-06 15:03

Claims that an open-source project whose design is the target of tons of research contains government backdoors that have somehow gone undiscovered in over 10 years.
Provides no evidence to support this claim.
Thinks he's smart for making baseless, pants on head retarded claims.

Top kek /g/ro XD
