Why not? It's a proper devilishly cunning plan: even if you tell everybody about it, they still inevitably fall for it! It's like dogecoin: it positively basks in its own silliness, everyone knows that it's a joke, a gamble, and a way to enrich the creator, people laugh and still buy it.

Oh by the way, NSA should totally like the way bitcoin-based protocols preserve the history of every transaction ever made, as a fundamental design property, and if you gain access to the logs of the exchanges at any point you can correlate real people with their wallets and have every single payment ever, down to the last reddit tip, deanonymized. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they invented bitcoin, just like CIA invented TOR. I hope they wouldn't perceive NSAcoin as competition!
