I've got an EPIC idea for a scam.

1)Create a shitty start up.
2)Create an off shore `consulting' company.
3)Rack up more debt on your start up than a corporate raider.
4)Spend all the money on `consulting' from your off shore company.
5)Declare bankruptcy.
6)Go enjoy your job running your `consulting' company.

Surely this must be the only function of start ups, given how terrible they are.

do your self a favor and just learn Rails, dont beg programmers to be a technical partner because programmers have a 'god complex' much like doctors do, and will shoot down any idea you have as being to lofty for mere mortals to fathom, as evidenced by Zed Shaw's pathetic blog response:

Learn Rails (its not hard, it will only take you a month or tow) and put the code-monkeys in their proper place in the startup foodchain

It's one thing to learn language syntax to churn out a bit of code. It's another thing to design and write systems that are worth the effort to maintain and extend.

I never said to stop reading after the beginners Rails book, there are always advanced books written on anything you would want to do:

encourage an idiot to become a technical person
disparage technical people as having complexes

Some of my ``friends'' used to do this sort of shit. Just to show how little they thought of me.

Don't change these.
