The main problem I have with many feminist groups is the them-versus-us mindset, the belief that the patriarchy is some grand design from up above instead of emergent phenomena, and ultimately the vindictiveness some show in trying to reach equality. Calling out someone for being a jerk and then, in their own meetings, recreating the exact same privilege but in reverse to 'balance things out' always gets my blood boiling. The absolutely worst cases are those meetings where there is an actual queue of speakers where black women get to speak first and white males speak last.
