C or C++

Hay /prog/
I'll be honest, i know shit about programming, despite that i'm supposed to study programming for like 6 years now. Well, i can do very basic stuff, but seriously not that much.

So my question is. If i started learning C, should i change to C++ after a while? And if yes, then when?

No. Learn C, then Java. Avoid Sepples.

Posting this in this thread is like deja vu all over again, twice.

Let's be honest, learn C, C#, Ruby, and Python. You'll be set, then. Whatever you do, don't give up on development and stalk conventions. That's the dark path.

When someone says that they're new to programming (or /prog/), they don't know what "sepples" is.  You're telling them to avoid something that they've never heard of, so they probably think C++ is fine.

C takes many years to understand, and C++ takes even more. Don't worry about it, you can decide when you get there.

Anyone with half a brain could turn ``C++'' into ``Sepples'', especially with no mention of C++ elsewhere in a post.
It is then when they realise it's so bad we gave it a nickname.

I always thought that these people using that nickname were idiots. C++ is always quicker. And yes, I must have less than half a brain because I didn't expand C++ into ``sepples''

If someone is willing to create threads while so oblivious, they deserve Sepples.
