Uhm... Sepples.

Then I gave up and began anew with SICP.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-20 11:20

I made a beep doing in QBasic. Then I stopped programming cause I thought that making beep sounds was hella lame. Luckily I found SICP and became an eexpert programmer.

Me as well, GORILLA.BAS and SNAKES.BAS

Then I graduated to writing programs that POKE'd various things into critical memory addresses to crash the computer.

I stared with C (NOT C++) about 6 years ago.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-20 18:44

DOS batch files (on MS-DOS 3.2) and then GWBASIC after that.

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-20 22:25

C++ is to C as explosive diarrhea is to a fully-featured vi.

Heh, I started with mIRC scripting as well.

Then I moved to Visual Basic and made some horribly crappy code. Eventually I learned how shitty Visual Basic is and moved to C++.

The first language I ever learned was BBC Basic.

Later on, on the same computer I dabbled in LOGO, and 6502 assembler.

When I got a PC: QBASIC, ASIC (a better BASIC dialect), x86 assembler, C++.

Later on (in no particular order): VB6, VB.NET, C#, Java, Prolog, Haskell, Python, LISP, Javascript

This is the last post you will see from me regarding this spammed non-meme.

I fucking hate TCL. After trying to cope with it for a long time (fucking eggdrops), I just gave up and wrote a tcl script that just execs a script when it's called, passing the parameters as well, and prints the output.

Problem solved, now I can just use zsh scripting, perl, FIOC or even LOLPHP for bot scripts.

GW-BASIC
The only, or last, variant with FORCED NUMBERING OF LINES.

AFAIK the last version was included with DOS 5.0, because 6.0 started to ship QBASIC, that added a colorful crappy UI, made line numbers optional, and added "SUB" and "FUNCTION". I still don't understand how they work, and error messages were so misleading that I considered going back to GOTO

Name: Anonymous 2008-04-26 22:52
