Why are you guys always bashing java?
I am currently using it and i find it to be a quite nice language. Sure as hell beats the fuck out of C#.

In all honesty, though, I don't dislike working with Java very much. I just wish people would stop pretending it's a pure OO language.

Well maybe everything beats C#, but that is still what it should be compared too, since theyre very similar (both garbage collected OO languages) and also competitors.
It doesn't make sense to compare it with Lisp or C which are totally different languages, at least not when your evaluating it as a language.

There are legitimate problems with Java, and he even touches on some of them, but most of that is empty fluff.
Bigger is just something you have to live with in Java. Growth is a fact of life. Java is like a variant of the game of Tetris in which none of the pieces can fill gaps created by the other pieces, so all you can do is pile them up endlessly.

I love how the designers of Java's libraries decided to make almost everything that's trivial in practically every other language a huge fucking chore.
