Hi, I'm New Here

Name: Pro_Grammer!!programmer 2008-02-25 19:19

Hello /prog/rammers.

I happened to come across this joint by way of a close friend of mine who recommended it. I'm very new to programming and have no real-world experience just yet (I'm not an "EXPERT PROGRAMMER" as you would say, lol).

Anyway, I just have a few questions to get me on the right foot here.
1) Who is this Sussman character?
2) Does every person here speak with a lisp? (I do)
3) Is Sepples a contagious disease? I sure wouldn't want to get it hanging around all you guys irl (in real life).
4) Why does nobody like java? Coffee comes in quite handy for all-nighters at school.

Well, thanks for you time, guys. Hope to hear from you soon.

There's no double tripcodes in here. :(

That was nostalgic; you're very near the style of eggtroll.

Hello Pro_Grammer

I happened to come across this thread by way of a Table of Contents that recommended it. I've been programming since I was 6 and I wrote an ANSI C compiler when I was 12 years old.  (I'm an EXPERT PROGRAMMER as you had said, lol).

Anyway, I just have a few questions to get you on the right foot here.
1) Who is this Pro_Grammer character?
2) Does Pro_Grammer walk like a GIMP? (I do)
3) Is Python a venomous snake? I sure wouldn't want to get it having me fioc (fioc initiation of code).
4) Why do I feel like you are same as >>2-4? I feel like you're the same person and we have been tuna fish.

Well, thanks for you time, Pro_Grammer. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello, Anonymous.

No, I do not walk like a GIMP. The only "GIMP" I know is the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GNU is a recursive acronym for "GNU is Not Unix". Clever, isn't it? lol)

I am not the same person as >>4 but I am >>1-3. I had some minor issues with the tripcode. Which I think I've figured out this time. *crosses fingers*

Also, how do I bold, underline, and overline words? I want to become this "EXPERT PROGRAMMER" you guys speak so highly of.

EXPERT BBCODE PROGRAMMING is a fine craft requiring dozens of years of experience, thus it's an art that can be only mastered by reaching SATORI.

PS : Read SICP.

Satori: "Satori is a Japanese word used in Zen Buddhism for the phenomenon of Sudden Awakening"

So, I have to become a Buddhist monk and reach Sudden Awakening to become an "EXPERT "BBCODE" PROGRAMMER"?

Seems a bit extreme.

Area ALL of you monks?

Is Sussman a monk? Is he your leader?

Wait, I think I get it.

Only those who are Buddhist monks with a lisp can reach Satori by way of the great Sussman. However, beware of Sepples, the killer of Satori. Embrace the BBCODE, the way of Satori.

amirite? (short for "Am I correct?")
