And no, they did not seem to realise the damage they were doing. How they came of as "only Hitler-lovers fail to Believe, and it's cos they want him to be pure and clean".
And so at the point where someone took a close enough look at the evidence to find ...inconsistencies, the damage was already done.

For starters, the Last Man's Version Of The Truth (aka Wikipedia) just will not know how non-psychos can fail to Believe.

The main point I was driving at, was how propaganda-driven us-vs-them imagery can get real dumb real quick if you don't pay attention. In the long run, that's only gonna bite us all in the ass.
