Unemployment at two year low

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-01 13:00

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/unemployment-rate-falls-to-2-year-low-of-88-pct-employers-add-216k-jobs-in-march/2011/04/01/AF44d9FC_story.html?hpid=z1

Good news today, seems like job creation is finally picking up at a steady pace.  Dropping a full percentage point over the past four months.  I imagine it will rise back up to +9% as more people return to the job market and begin looking for work again.

Unfortunately for me as a public worker, I probably won't be seeing a rise in hours despite this fact as the government continues to shed jobs at the state level. :(

Statistics != truth. Long-term unemployed people have stopped reporting as unemployed.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-01 17:13

There is infinity jobs, unemployment statistics are 100% fake, the entire concept of being "unemployed" is created by the government and other sorts of intrusion in the market.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-01 18:43

I've been unemployed the past three years and I guarantee they're not including me in those statistics. They don't even know I exist.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-02 9:21

3years+ , you too?
They'll recognize us after a hunger related tragedy....
But they'd  keep ya fed on poison shit so you could
fuddle mindedly off yourself by accident.
Heres some sodium-loaded canned goods.
And some nice starchy potatos.  And everybody needs sugar.

For what the food pantry's offer, you could build a still.
But you wont stay healthy or sharp!

They'd rather the unemployd were euthanized, so those rich chinese, japanese, muslim immigrants have more to choose from.

Gattica is the next step, without the protagonist!

Sure unemployment doesn't represent everyone who is unemployed, but that doesn't make it a completely useless measure of job creation.  We keep adding jobs month after month.  Enough to offset new entries to the job market.  Which means those people not counted will eventually be able to reenter the market.

I expect unemployment to rise again before falling to normal levels, possibly next month as when the populace see's jobs be created again they're more likely to start searching once more.

I was about to go on four years unemployed but was hired just the beginning of last month.

They should rework the job search process to make it much less emotionally stressful.

And guess what happens month after month, MASS IMMIGRATION.
Just in the statistics mentioned by the government, job creation has never even MATCHED immigration numbers!

job creation has never even MATCHED immigration numbers!
Source please or shut the fuck up.

Read the article. That's not what caused the increase. Although it is a legitimate concern when considering unemployment figures.

Obama has been deporting illegal immigrants at a higher rate than any previous president.  Also people are actually immigrating less now that our job market is wrecked.  I don't think that's much of a factor tbh, if anything the mass deportations are part of the job creation.

80,000 illegals over the course of an entire year is irrelevant. Especially since all of these subhumans just turn around and come right back into the country.

The Administration's chronic problem is an inability to broadcast clearly anything that they're doing and/or explain why they're doing it.  This does not surprise me actually.

lol  That's because they haven't done anything but make bad situations worse.

Like?

We are seeing employment go up, immigration down, reformed healthcare, and plenty of other great things.

I'm curious how it would be to live in the U.S., not working for one year. In my country, a script writer actually, literally starved to death some months ago, even though my country has a safety net. At that time she was sick so she was not able to go out and seek help.
Have you heard about any who starved to death in your country? except for Africa and some Asian countries...

As for me, I don't think any country could be said to have a safety net if there were any person who starved or were frozen to death. What would you think?

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-05 6:51

If you put it that way, then there are two kinds - a safety net and a fishing net - and their difference in being how they collect things.  If you think that's apples and oranges, contrast the two different kinds of fishing: a rod and reel and the aforementioned net.  One beckons the fish to you as they desire and feel the need, and the other has you take the fish regardless of their intentions.
For me, I would rather not be a fish but, if I must, then I'd rather contend with the rod.

A reel test of ethics.

Do you allow the starving to die from the paralysis of depression, induced by malnutrition.

Or do you nurture initiative by creating achievable goals to acclimate individuals to complex and highly competitive bureaucracy of legalese?

What of the mentally disabled? Or the undefined mentally impaired?
Or the organizationally challenged?

He's had 2 years to make things better. They are not getting better.
Obamacare has sent everyones health care costs through the roof; "unemployment wont go above 8% if you let me give a trillion dollars to all my union buddies"...yeah, right..; "I'll get us out of 2 wars"(or just start a third...) "I'll close Guantanomo"..yeah, right
The list goes on and on of all his broken promises and lies.

Corporate profits are soaring, the economy has stabilized.  His economic policies pulled us out of recession and brought back growth.

He never said that unemployment wouldn't surpass 8%

It's just something republicans claimed he said, and they did it enough times for you to believe that hogwash.
http://www.politifact.com/virginia/statements/2011/feb/28/george-allen/george-allen-says-barack-obama-promised-stimulus-w/

Not to mention that jobs have been created at a rate that would reduce unemployment to near normal levels before his next election.

He also did not campaign on ending 2 wars.  He campaigned on drawing down in iraq to increase troop levels in afghanistan.  Yeah, he was pro-war.  Also people act like he didn't try to close gitmo, he wasn't deliberately breaking a promise there.  He just could not keep it.

Also I have not seen my health care costs rise a single cent and I have not seen any reporting on skyrocketing costs.  The bill was designed to reduce costs, so I don't see how you come to the conclusion that it does the opposite, unless you think the president is a moron.  Most of the measures won't even go into effect till 2014 so you're complaining before you ever see the effects of the bill.

I, unlike you, actually live in the real world.
Helath care costs are skyrocketing, for all, especially seniors. Not to mention that the SOTUS will find it unconstitutional anyways.
He couldn't keep his promise to close Gitmo? Why? With a stroke of a pen he could close Gitmo. An "Executive Order".
Let's face it, not only did he embrace EVERY ONE of G.W. Bush's policies, he actually doubled down on some of them. You know it, I know it, and so does everyone else. That's why his approval ratings are in the toilet.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-05 21:09

Socialism and paying with someone elses money is why costs are skyrocketting.

>immigration down,
no

Don't care about non-white subhumans, and they certainly don't fucking belong in our country.

So every other race needs their own homogenous countries, but whites need to be flooded under an endless stream of non-whites who exist only because of white charity?

And i'm the "ignorant" one? You can't even seen the writing on the fucking wall.
