Unemployment at two year low

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/unemployment-rate-falls-to-2-year-low-of-88-pct-employers-add-216k-jobs-in-march/2011/04/01/AF44d9FC_story.html?hpid=z1

Good news today, seems like job creation is finally picking up at a steady pace.  Dropping a full percentage point over the past four months.  I imagine it will rise back up to +9% as more people return to the job market and begin looking for work again.

Unfortunately for me as a public worker, I probably won't be seeing a rise in hours despite this fact as the government continues to shed jobs at the state level. :(

Sure unemployment doesn't represent everyone who is unemployed, but that doesn't make it a completely useless measure of job creation.  We keep adding jobs month after month.  Enough to offset new entries to the job market.  Which means those people not counted will eventually be able to reenter the market.

I expect unemployment to rise again before falling to normal levels, possibly next month as when the populace see's jobs be created again they're more likely to start searching once more.
