Socialism...

Name: Anonymous 2011-02-27 10:09

Socialists thinks its okay take/steal money from other people.

Then it doesn't matter if they think the money will be spent better, its NOT their money.

For some reason stealing can be legal, just if over the half of the population agrees...

How did this unbelievable sick idea came through in countries such as Denmark?

Name: Anonymous 2011-02-27 12:55

You silly, it's just collecting cash in a kitty and spending it for the good of the people who put it together.
Like if we have a club, and we all put $5 in the kitty, and we vote to use it to put a new roof on the clubhouse. Just on a grander scale.
If you don't like it, leave the club!

Aint how it works, pal.
Maybe in your "pie in the sky" world that's how it works, but not in real life.
Take from the rich and give to the poor till there aint no rich no more...THEN WHAT DO WE DO?

Well, if there ain't no rich, guess we'll all be equal then... Does that bother you?
Anyway, probably won't EVER happen, so no worries.

Name: Anonymous 2011-02-27 15:10

Yes, it bothers me greatly, as it should bother you and everyone else as well. My goal is TO BE ONE OF THE RICH. It's why I get up every morning and do what I do throughout the day. It's what keeps the world spinning.
Think about what you just said. If we're all equal, then I guess the only wealthy will be the gov't elites, the ones who have power over us. The entire mid-east is in revolution right now because of the "everyone is equal" way of life. That is, everyone is equally poor and miserable. Why are they poor and miserable? because no one is allowed to strive to be anything more.

For your information this system realy works in denmark, sweeden and other countries. That's the main reason they have such high standards of living for such small countries. Not to mention the great education, justice, human rights and employment levels.

Honestly, I'm not a socialist but when a businessman is not paying his employees enough, the distribution of wealth over time changes dramaticaly and the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Terminaly, this is a system that would collapse under it's own weight because very few people would end up with all the money. And naturaly this would bring consumption to a halt.

By redistributing wealth through fair taxation, the state can maintain itself without hindering the growth of the poor and without taxing money that would normaly be spent to cover basic needs. This in turn makes society more productive, more creative and less hostile for the individual.

Sounds like you going to be suffering stress, stomach problems, erection problems and anxiety if you're not already. Typical symptoms of individuals who view the world in such a selfish and competitive way. Achieving the goal of becoming rich and powerfull won't reverse that. It's like a thirst that can never be quenced. If you choose to go down that path, good luck, my advise is to eat a lot of MacDonalds and smoke.

The reason societies exist is because people need each other.

Wow. I feel so, so sorry for you.
Your goal is to be rich.
Well, my goal is to be happy and fulfilled, and for the most part, I have that right now. Talk about pie in the sky!
Tell you what: take a week, or even just a day, and don't think about money. Concentrate on the pretty girls (or boys), the music, the flowers, the taste of your food, the feeling of relaxation as you lie in bed at the end of the day... Do some work just for the heel of it: not for money. Clean your garage, maybe, or make something with your own hands: just for the satisfaction of a job well done.
Then decide what you want your goal to be.

My goal is to become rich (note: I did not say powerful, as >>9 ascribed to me. I couldn't care less about power over others, I'm just looking for security for me and my fam.)
My goal is to become rich. That would make me happy and fulfilled.
Now, why again are you judging my way of attaining happines and fulfillment? I have no opinion on how you get yours....

Dude, you said that's why you get up in the morning. It sounds pretty central to your well-being: this need to be rich. Not just comfortable, but "rich" with money.

I'm going to assume here that you want to be rich, because you want to be able to feed your family and secure your kids' education and welfare. That's what any parent would do.

The point where you miss is blaming modern socialism. [Disclaimer: I'm a socio-liberal] That's the point where most people miss, actually. Modern socialist societies aren't built upon the raw socialism of Marx and Lenin, because that wouldn't work. Communism didn't work either. Nor does raw capitalism work. What works is a fine blend of different ideologies. Why? Because people are different. In order to accept their (elected) leaders, they have to have /something/ in common.
Would you like to have a president, who you had /nothing/ in common with? Don't think so; I wouldn't.

I want ot be happy and comfortable. This means that I don't want to stress everytime I get ill, I want proper healthcare that will cover all my health needs (even dentist). I don't want to stress if i get sacked from my job, I want the state to supply me with pocket money while I'm looking for a new job. This way the state has true interest in fighting unemployment. I don't want to stress if I can't afford an appartment, I want the state to supply me with a temporary appartment for some months until i sort my shit out. And I don't want to stress when I have to go to work and I haven't got anyone to take care of my child, I want public kindergardens. Of course, I don't want to save or borrow money to educate myself, I want a full public education system. Given all these, I can plan my life better. Accidents and bad times cannot damage me much. I feel safe. This way I can have proper education, have children without worrying too much about feeding them and educating them. For a society with services like this I would be more than willing to pay high taxes. Because these taxes are practicaly a life insurance, a health insurance, education savings etc.

All of the above happen in the countries mentioned earlier in this thread. I see them as example societies. You may call this socialism but seriously, it's nothing more than proper management of the state.

Take from the rich and give to the poor till there aint no rich no more...
Where do you cunts get this notion? The rich have been consistently getting richer for the past few decades. The gap between rich and poor is larger than at any other time in the history of humanity. Do you really think that liberals can tax this away?

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-01 5:36

>>24
'Cunts': I like your wording there.

So what do you recon? There should be higher taxes for the poor? That taxes should be abolished altogether? What are you suggesting anyway?

PS. In india they have 'casts'. You might find that appealing :p

I'm not >>24, but I can tell you what he/she is suggesting: That this is stupid fear-mongering. The rich aren't being taxed into oblivion.

It doesn't matter how well the society works when most percentage of the well society's price, most likely were (and still is) paid by the people who didn't even want to.

But that didn't stop the socialists/thieves... over 50% of the people who wanted this WELL society needed the money the less(rich peopel) had, so they used this fantastic democracy to make stealing legal.

Google Translate (Danish->English):

Danish § 276 Theft
If you without consent of the owner removes a physical thing to get themselves or others for a prize, you will be punished for theft.
This clause basically say that it is illegal to steal others' things.
In § 285 indicate that theft is punishable by imprisonment of up to 1 year and 6 months.

Its not my dream to become rich at all, but ofc it would be nice.

Name: 25 2011-03-01 15:20

Mate, the point of taxing the rich is not to make them obsolete. Look at it this way: If you tax the poor, the state will receive money that would otherwise be spent on commodities. The same does not apply to the rich because they have more than they can spend. Therefore, the money that the state will receive from taxing them is not money taken away from the 'real economy'.

What a crybaby. The government asks for 1% of your income to build public roads, and all of a sudden you're not rich anymore. As an anarchist I despise any government's attempts to oppress a population, but your argument seems to stem from simple selfish greed.

Take the red pill, and the most rocking trip since time began.

If I have inadvertantly posted in the wrong board, please forgive me and direct me to another. This same message will appear again and again until Anonymous finds it and chooses to act. or not. I mean, it's up to them. But, if they've successfully targeted Scientology then American corporations and special interests ought to be a piece of cake.

Ready for the revolution?

Socialism / Marxism died with Trotsky. Don't believe me? Read the "Exile and murder of Leon Trotsky" He lost everything, but we have everything to gain and a world to save. With or without socialism. Whatever the fuck works.

Name: Anonymous 2011-03-09 12:34

The general concept of socialism is good and all, but it's impractical. It's easier to crossbreed a dog with a fish than to apply socialism in a capitalist culture like America.

Exactly. With bailouts, corporate welfare, over-regulation, corporate personhood and state subsidies, only a fool would say the US is capitalist. Hint: When the CEOs of corporations are recieving bailouts and benefits from the state, that's not capitalism. The state should have no part in the economy.
