Anonymous atk (USA)'s public school system?

The current system is, to say the least, problematic.
Should there be a national movement to improve this?
What could be done by the masses to cause change?

Nevermind that there are few liberties more basic than the ability to raise your own children - liberals are the true advocates of liberty, not those pesky conservatives or libertarians.

Most of the population is too dumb or uninformed to care about the education system.  When you consider that most people who graduate from school never read a book ever again, it's easy to see that the current situation came about through apathy toward schooling, and a total disinterest in learning.

American culture fails hard at stressing the importance of an education.  Besides, the bible is the only thing you ever need to know.  You don't even have to use any critical thinking skills.  Just memorize and obey.
