In 20 years, the Chinese will be everywhere. They'll penetrate into foreign sites, with their godless heathen language.
Imagine this: You're on 4chan. You make a post, 5 Chinese people disagree with you. Half the boards and forums are full of Chinese, with their strange foreign memes and pop culture.
Americans, being confident and short-sighted, envision an English speaking internet for the future. But in reality the Internet will be dominated by China with sheer numbers.

Remember, the internet is something that's being shaped by it's own growth. More Chinese users doesn't mean 4chan is flouded with Chinese users, it means more Chinese users are using the Chinese version of 4chan, whatever form it takes.

They have moderators 24/7, full ban on Korean IPs, yet the Koreans are raiding their boards almost every day non-stop

The Chinese government monitors and restricts their citizens' internet usage. Sites such as 4chan are not accessible there without proxies, but taking measures to circumvent the internet filtering is illegal. Their ISPs must comply with government policy, which includes blocking any and all sites which could possibly have anti-Chinese slander or propoganda. Basically, the Chinese people only get to see the internet their government wants them to see. It's not quite the same as in most every other country. Chinese will never dominate the internet as long as their totalitarian government stops them.

In the long-term the government restrictions won't matter, with the rate at which they're growing fat with wealth it won't be long before China becomes a democracy I'd imagine. Expectations rise with wealth, right?
However, it's also true that by 2015 50% of the world's population will be able to speak English, including most of the Chinese I'd imagine. Though obviously it's pure speculation I'd imagine that they'd conform to English interwebs due to gradual intergration?
I'd worry more about the times when China's crops fail due to global warming, their population gets starving/aggravated, and their nuke-blessed government gets pissed with the West. Then we're fucked.
