You don't have to have a lobotomy to post here, it's just for fun!
To start us off:
God is defined as the perfect being. God either exists in the real world or in our minds. Existing in the real world is better. Therefore God exists.
Except that's not the universal definition of God and there never will be one so debating the existence of something without meaning holds no purpose or value.
Yog-Sothoth knows the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the gate. Yog-Sothoth is the key and guardian of the gate. Past, present, future, all are one in Yog-Sothoth. He knows where the Old Ones broke through of old, and where They shall break through again. He knows where They have trod earth's fields, and where They still tread them, and why no one can behold Them as They tread.
God is a higher plane of reality. He is beauty, love, peace, and calm. He is the deterministic force of the world. He is the mind of our world.

You can say the same about mathematical concepts that also don't exist.

I need some help to refute transcendentalism.
So basically a Christian told me God exists because of the impossibility of the contrary. Without God there can be no human intelligibility, he claims. God is some type of custodian that maintains the laws of nature, logic, etc. He claims that those with an atheistic worldview can't be sure of anything, because everything can be reduced ad absurdium. He says that atheists have no way of truly knowing something, because hey, the laws of nature might just change tomorrow! Why could we even trust our senses?
I told him he uses the same axioms as atheists (I exist, senses are sometimes reliable) to even come up with his theories. You can't logically prove God without assuming your logic is sound. He wasn't buying it however.
My question is this: am I missing something? (probably)

Well, as best as our abilities can imagine, we currently imagine a choatic subatomic reality whose cumulative effect gives us what we've got. Another example, we can drop marbles on a pinboard and they bounce one way or the other seemingly randomly, but the imagined infinite cumulative effect of that and other additive processes is a mathematically describable normal distribution.
Or, we can wonder why there is anything instead of nothing or why there is anything with a pattern than not, but does that really necessitate a being, a single being with a single personhood? We can entertain untestable ideas of non-specific consciousness permeating everywhere without senses of our world except in the instances where matter arranges into sense organs, but since we don't even know how a mind becomes in a developing creature, we are still pretty damn uncertain what the hell is going on here, so professing certainty in anything seems a little hasty. The scientific philosophy of knowledge is the humbler philosophy.
Turns out that the pope of atheism isn't such an atheist himself.
Intellectually checkmated.

...are you fucking serious?
1: God is not defined by being a perfect being. He's also defined by a bunch of other stuff, like being the creator of the universe. Even if you prove a perfect being exists, that doesn't mean you prove god.
2: How do you know god either exists in the real world or in our minds? What if he just doesn't exist at all? Neither the real world or our minds? In fact, god doesn't exist in our minds at all. Nobody is able to imagine a perfect being. Nobody can possibly understand what a perfect being would be like. All we can imagine is a being that we call perfect.
3: Why is it better to exist in the real world?
4: There is no such thing as "existing in our mind" anyway. If we imagine something, like lets say, a unicorn, it doesn't exist in our mind. An IMAGE of it exists in our mind. That's entirely different. Actually existing in our mind makes no sense.
5: All you're really saying is that if a perfect being exists, it exists. It just seems like you're proving god because you're toying with language.
6: If just because something SHOULD exist in the real world instead of our minds means it does, well, tons of problems come. Like, let's say I imagine a guy named billy who gets whatever he wants, no matter what. Let's say I imagine him wanting to travel into the real world. Does that mean he will actually travel into the real world, even if he "should"? It's no different from your argument. We are both imagining something that should exist in the real world based on qualities we are giving it.

So it was YOU who created Billy. You don't know what you've done!

So, a little old Chinese man and a little old Jewish man are sitting at a park bench, the Chinese man is feeding pigeons, when the old Jewish man squints at him and then suddenly whacks him across the knees with his cane.
"Owww! Goddamit! What did you do that for?"
"That was for Pearl Harbor!"
"You dumb ass! I'm Chinese, it was the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor!"
"Chinese, Japanese, Burmese, what difference does it make?"
The old Chinese picks up his cane, and whacks the old Jew across the knees and yells:
"That's for sinking the Titanic!"
"You stupid putz! An iceberg sank the Titanic!"
"Iceberg, Weissberg, Goldberg.....what difference does it make?"

Excuse me, sir, but I use Control+K and Control+Y. What do
you take me for, some kind of Windows user? The concept of a
religion formed around violating international law is
ridiculous. You don't see me here with my ``murdering world
leaders" club, and you know why that is? I'm not a criminal,
and I, personally, don't find crime to be a laughing matter!
By lumping me in with 4channers and criminals, you have
offended me doubly so today! Good-bye, sir!
Blazing flames shine in the obscure skies
the desolation is in our hearts
freedom in spirits, glory in the soul
in remembrance of an ancient age
the over sea is keeping the secret
and magnificence of winged god
to bring us free from tyranny
the legend of the golden dragon is alive
Thunders of war, from a dark abyss
announce is coming from the over sea
to bring the peace, to give us freedom
to spill the blood of dark tyranny
for the ancient splendour
in name of the freedom, in name of the war
Lord of the dragons now we are calling you!
