This is the official religion thread.  If there is another religion thread, redirect them here.

You don't have to have a lobotomy to post here, it's just for fun!

To start us off:
God is defined as the perfect being.  God either exists in the real world or in our minds.  Existing in the real world is better.  Therefore God exists.

I need some help to refute transcendentalism.

So basically a Christian told me God exists because of the impossibility of the contrary. Without God there can be no human intelligibility, he claims. God is some type of custodian that maintains the laws of nature, logic, etc. He claims that those with an atheistic worldview can't be sure of anything, because everything can be reduced ad absurdium. He says that atheists have no way of truly knowing something, because hey, the laws of nature might just change tomorrow! Why could we even trust our senses?

I told him he uses the same axioms as atheists (I exist, senses are sometimes reliable) to even come up with his theories. You can't logically prove God without assuming your logic is sound. He wasn't buying it however.

My question is this: am I missing something? (probably)
