Minecraft became a childrens game on January 13 (2011) when Notch implemented infinite torches (by burning wood to create charcoal, and then attaching wood to the wood). It also officially became a homo game by introducing advanced mechanics for dying wool in all the colors of the rainbow, as well as a fatty whale game for introducing cookies and and cake, turning reeds into sugar canes.

Previous to that the Minecraft community forums was the sole reason for dragging Minecraft down to its abysmal depths (it consisting to 99% of underage users and corrupt furfag mods who banned anyone with a set of balls) but the January update was the official declaration the Minecraft would never recover from its faggotry. That was the day when Minecraft came out of the closet and started playing "Never Gonna Give You Up" to all its players.

Excuse me, but my cohorts and I been playing this game for quite some time now and only some of them are fags. I do not see myself to be a fag, as you implied i should in your original post.

Hatches are actually decent additions compared to cookies, cake, redstone, and so on. They keep monsters out from vertical shafts. Oh, hold on - monsters can't actually descend ladders, can they? Okay, it's fucking useless, but there are worse examples. Wait until the game will let you transfer your POV to a tamed wolf and run around as a fursona.

The new way to create Minecraft torches:

1. Get some wood.
2. Stick your wood into a furnace until it becomes blackened.
3. Remove it from the furnace.
4. Smear it all over your wood.
5. Light up the world of Minecraft with your smeared wood.
