I got Minecraft (Alpha) yesterday. I played for a few hours. I made a castle, a dungeon, and a house. I realized that's pretty much what the entire game was. It's like Legos, but slower and you can kill stuff. If you're thinking about getting it, the free version is almost exactly the same. The weapons/enemies don't really add anything to the game. Don't waste 9.95 Euros on it.

Notch has finally proven once and for all that he's a faggot.
He started out making the only block game with seriously grim monsters in it, to set it apart from all the other games (roblox, cubelands, minecraft, infiniminer, manic digger, et.c.) as a non-retard, non-faggot game, but with the latest update we get colors to make rainbows with, and I'm not just talking about the manly colors such as red, blue, green and yellow, but faggy colors such as pink and magenta. ...and we get the important ability to paint sheep, because apparently somehow survival is all about painting sheep in pretty colors.
For all the fatsoes out there we also get to make books out of SUGARCANES now, with which we can make CAKE, and we also get COCO BEANS, probably to make chocolate with later on, and dye sheep brown with.

Hey, OP. If you do not like having to gather resources I recommend an inventory mod. They allow you to add whatever you want to your inventory. It seems to me that you are primarily interested in the building aspect more than the rest of the game, I can relate.
You just might not like this type of stuff though, and that's ok. Hope you didn't lose too much money on that.

It's true though, there isn't a real objective to the game. I was considering buying Minecraft but decided not to as beta users don't receive free DLC.
I'll continue playing torrented versions / classic online.
Mine craft is...ok, but tell the little kids/hard-core FPS addicts that it's not a game to get really involved with, at Beta prices the game is a total joke, 27 when finished, Notch better fucking update the graphics engine, not to say i think graphics are every thing but I prefer to play single play just so i don't have to puke on my keyboard at the disgusting attempts of outfits. I can see how some people can hate this game, its not my favorite block game, but ROBLOX????? How can a game full of 6 year olds compare to Minecraft?, But for a block game, I would buy Blockland, it looks nice, its $19.95 which gives it much more value than minecraft today plus has more content and a much more varied endgame- www.blockland.us, then there is GMOD- enough said, then a mod for Battlefield 2 called Battlefield 2 Sandbox when is great for value because BF2 is like $5 or $10 retail and the mod is free.

Ok 24 mature person i like games games i own l4d2 love it had foir over a year bf2bc and vietnam good game murders cod...cod black ops own it dont play it much...*******NOT MANY games like this but i played 1 player survival...it was allot of fun for several hours then i thoguht man this would be so much fun with other people i can have my own secret fort and collect shit and store it... so i stupidly bought the game...little did i know goodluck finding a server and if u do goodluck finding one with monsters and if u some how do goodluck finding one that doesnt have retarded million building and diamond blocks everywhere...noone does the game name mines or crafts online ...would love to do survival coop would be allot of fun i think but i cant find a server or someone to host one or someone to play if i host one....best i found was a server with a bunch of random structures and some land left where me and the 3 non admins who joined it had nothing so we actually farmed a mine out and made tools and built a base was fun but SUCKED CAUSE MONSTERS WERE TURNED OFF... if your thinking of investing the 23$ it costs now I VOTE NO i feel robbed. IF you want to try it i highly suggest that but do so with a cracked version off the net...READ COMMENT 18 IT FURTHER PROVES MY POINT...If you like the sims with money on unlimited then u will love this game online...other then that if u like tours of fake imagine cities then that 2...i suggest getting if u plan to with a friend and can host a server that would be worth it other then that get crack play 1 player...i also heard hes made 10million and hes on vacation for 4 weeks now...what does that say...COMMENT 18 is right...hes a bum....BUT AFTER ALL THIS DO TRY THE CRACKED VERSION OF SURVIVAL DIGGING AND FINDING SHIT IS FUN AND INTERESTING AND THE GRAPHICS GROW ON YOU...but as for buying now saving 25% isnt worth seeing if this game ever finishes and if the finished product even works cause the beta sure as hell is buggy big time the enemies are almost impossible to die by they barely can maneuver and when they do u have to be a e tard to not beable to get away after 1 hour of playing oh and they cant break anything down so at night if desperate dig a 6 tile entrance in a wall and put 2 back down at front ..safe for the night

I have lots of games enjoy lots of games this game appealed to me on youtube saw 2 guys making shit think the graphics are haggard and dont get why they so bad u can make the characters and such and enemies look and move better... i prey this isnt beta stage cause beta stages usually are allot better then this i mean starcraft beta was basically the game now so what are u saying this is basicallly it now minus a few more added items mobbs and bug fixes?...im not complaining about the graphics just dont get why they so bad but they grow on u in less then 5 min even if u play games at 1gb graphics neccesary...to all you saying first person shooters cant like a game like this shutup cause they can i love fps and love rpgs and liked the sims ... what more is this basically...games cool reminds me of a somewhat 3d dungeon keeper wouldnt surprise me if that was one of his main sparks for the game idea i mean dungeon keeper besides multi minions and a heart if u just think of the imps they dig for sruff and they occasionally dig into areas with gems gold or open caves with lava or just open cave or water or a cave filled with enemies and.. tell me u havent stumbled across all of those things in the game ...oh ya and if u havent played it u obviously tell them where to dig ..now mix a litte diablo/wow crafting in there and instead of gold as a currency lets do several minerals and just have them as crafting materials..instead of an army against another army we will have a single guy exploring building no end to the world...pointless concept but try it its fun quite a bit of fun...its neat to have a small hut and when u go in there is a cave that goes on for miles and u dug it and found cool stuff treasure and minerals and enemies...final thoughts on game:::: 1. Needs much more work...multiplayer is broken i know he says on site its not done and private servers only reason its being used ...but my opinion if u dont know someone like buddy above said goodluck...2. one player good fun for awhile can get boring ...if you owned the sims and enjoyed making numerous houses and it turned out when u got bored u maybe had 1 succesful house finished family(game beat) and the rest all plots just built homes familes low level(or even unlimited cash to test your creativity) and last if your a designer...then you will have endless fun seeing what u can make...3. if u like games with a point this is not it (i hope that means yet)4. This Game has extreme amount of potential to be great concept is great someone is and still could capitalize much further off this if it is made well if there is a survival mode that works in the end then this game will rock..but right now its far from working i mean day one hardest day u can be safe for good in less then 30 sec..build a pick from wood mine 1x2 high by 2x deep in a wall then put 2 blocks in front woila u in your sadamm bunker that is inpregnable...game is def worth a try highly suggest u try cracked first i bought and am not happy with 21$ sale for i bought it to play online in a survival mode but like he said all servers i managed to find had just no monsters and buildings always freebuild or admin spawning diamonds
TRY A cracked 1 player version of beta survival then i suggest waiting until it released and reviewed to buy it or buy it now if u and a friend want to play... oh and if u got a girlfriend who likes games even a bit this is a game for her and you to play together you will bond allot and the stuff you build together will teach you allot about each other...she will be happy gaming with you with this one... but if u solo wait for there to be real servers or a lan option... bought it several hours later back to single player which was free...why cause i couldnt find a server where it was the survival game and if i actually found one full monsters night and caves... then it had a city of gold and admins playing god ...(boring)no mining no crafting
