Suikoden games

Why didn't they just make these games look more and more like ancient chinese paintings? Instead they now look like "Star Ocean 3: Til the Waste of time".

No one makes games I like anymore. =[

I imagine for alot of people, just being in 2D made the games better. Me, personally, before I'm a fan of something on a console system, I'm a fan of 2D on a console system.

I just can't adjust well to looking at ugly 3D models and animations all the time since I've seen them done better in 2D.

2D games have limited appeal, you realise.

Just hail Suiko2 as the penultimate of 2Dness and accept that 3D is the wave of the future.

I didn't get Suikoden II because of fucking snobby RPG reviewers saying "Suikoden II isn't as good as the first game" when it first came out.  Fuckers.

I have a DS so no, 2D isn't dead and neither do I have to conform.  3D characters only look good in the in-game movies.  Outside of the movies, 3D characters are blocky and their movements are not fluid.

We'll see.  Maybe they'll do 3D backgrounds but keep the characters 2D.

There was an influx of 2D games that Sony decided wouldn't be right for the US market even if they were all localized
