Suikoden games

Why didn't they just make these games look more and more like ancient chinese paintings? Instead they now look like "Star Ocean 3: Til the Waste of time".

No one makes games I like anymore. =[

I didn't get Suikoden II because of fucking snobby RPG reviewers saying "Suikoden II isn't as good as the first game" when it first came out.  Fuckers.
