DVD Decrypter to rip DVD to computer / decrypt any copy protection and region
CloneDVD 2(I use 2 but there is a newer version you could try) to burn to DVD

thats assuming you meant copying DVD files to a DVD otherwise you need a converter program to convert files to DVD format or a program like Nero to copy other files to DVD as in a data disc.

You can find these files at http://dvdcopyworld.on.nimp.org/downloads/

Would be more credible if you used capitalisation and punctuation.

DVD Decrypter is for fags

Use DVD Fab HD Decrypter instead.  Much better and still in active development.

Since the way DVDs work is pretty much fixed, all the fact that it's still in active development means is that it's not done yet.

OP here.  Never mind, I've got it sorted.  Thanks for all the replies.

NOT owned you dumbshit jewfucks

While the way DVDs work is fixed, the way DVD copy protections work is NOT fixed.  Therefore an ongoing and legally unstalled version is better than an old, illegal program.

Fucktards.

This may surprise you, but that's bullshit. DVDs aren't CD-ROMs where something like that is feasible because computers are flexible as all fuck; they have to work on every dinky DVD player and gaming console out there, and those don't put up with a lot of variability.

No, bitches.  Some DVD copy protection tactics involve messing with the PGC structures on the discs.  Dinky players will bypass this shit but not DVD Shrink!  I remember trying to copy Madagascar with DVD Decrypter and having to use a 3rd party tool afterwards because the main movie did not show up in DVD Shrink.  Shit like that is why continuous updates are needed.  Perhaps you don't use DVD Shrink, but rather another program.  Who's to say that they may do some other PGC trickery and make it useless in that program?

Assfucks.

DVDFab Decrypter > DVD Decrypter!!!!

Fun fact: dd will bypass it just fine. If a DVD player can read it, your software can too unless the makers go out of their way to disable it.
If your shit software is in constant development, all it means is that either a) it's not done and missing important functionality, or b) the makers are trying to rip you off.

I use either adobe premiere, dvdsanta, or DeVeDe.  DeVeDe is my favorite because it's free, easy to use, and works beautifully

I use Opera DVD Decrypter because it decrypts DVDs at faster speeds than other leading decrypters and uses WAY less RAM

dd won't bypass shit.  It will dump the entire encrypted image.  You have to decrypt it and then shrink it unless you like letting the MPAA rape you up the ass with the 3 for $12 price of blank dual-layer DVDs (vs. 50 for $12 of normal DVDs) or you have 320TB of space to keep your unshrunk DVDs.  So yes, they can take advantage of any vagueness in or practical devations from PGC/.VOB structure standards and break existing programs.  Existing programs must then be updated to cope with this.  Which, DVD Decrypter can't.

Go rent Madagascar from your local Blockbuster and just TRY to decrypt it using DVD Decrypter.  Then put it through DVD Shrink.
Enjoy your outdated shit.

And it's totally possible for a program to be done and still miss important functionality.  I would say no program is ever truly complete; there is always things to improve.  Are you really going to stay with Windows 95 or a 0.0.x kernel just because the current ones aren't "done"?  Idiot.

DVDFab HD Decrypter is free, btw.  How are the makers trying to rip anyone off in that case, other than to try to peddle the full paid-version of DVDFab?

Which is what this thread is about, moron.

So yes, they can take advantage of any vagueness in or practical devations from PGC/.VOB structure standards and break existing programs.
That's a complete non-sequitur. It doesn't follow from anything you've said, and isn't backed up by the evidence.

Are you really going to stay with Windows 95 or a 0.0.x kernel just because the current ones aren't "done"?
For things as complex as operating systems, there will never be an end to bugfixing, and computer technology changes, so kernels have to be updated to keep up. The same is not true for DVD technology, no matter how many times you want to repeat that it does (without the slightest shred of evidence).

How are the makers trying to rip anyone off in that case, other than to try to peddle the full paid-version of DVDFab?
Way to answer most of your own question. By periodically requiring that users download their shit again they're reminded of it. The best tools are the ones you don't notice.

tl;dr: You're a dipshit.

This is >>19.  Ok, after some research you are correct in some regards.  Allow me to offer my apologies.  But, let me ask you these questions:

- So I realize you can directly 'rip' an encrypted DVD, not stripping its encryption.  However, what's the use of having a copy of an encrypted DVD, other than to go ahead and burn it?  A decrypted DVD is much better as you can manipulate it afterwards.

- I wasn't kidding about the Madagascar thing.  That's the main reason why I stopped using DVD Decrypter.  I've never had blanked out VOBs or missing titles or anything with DVDFab HD Decrypter rips.  You never directly addressed this point.  I'd like to know exactly why DVD Decrypter is better.  You say that there is not evidence for a DVD decryption program to have to be updated but this is it.  I offered the evidence and you ignored it.  I only ask that you directly address this point.

- DVDFab HD Decrypter doesn't have nag screens.  The decryption function works without bothering you.

Don't change these.
