I had an ex who thought she was fucking Konata. It got really annoying. Konata plays MMORPG's, my ex did not, but she will INSIST that she is like Konata. Konata is smart, my ex was not. Konata is witty, my ex, well... You can see where this is going.

I don't know if Konata should be considered "smart". Funny yes, smart... well, maybe in a very dumb way. Wouldn't want to have a conversation with her though, you can tell based on the snippets the show gives us of the conversations mercifully cut short by Kagami about X monster's ability and yada, yada.
She's clearly intuitive and rational if she's able to stay up the night before a test to study, and still get the same 80% as Kagami. It's just that she's idiosyncratic, and would rather spend her time playing games than doing boring schoolwork. Are you telling me that specialization in topics different from the expected norm don't qualify her as intelligent?
