Eureka 7, the new Evangelion,

What an overrated show, it was like watching EVA all over again. Except this time it was crappier.

I haven't seen Eureka 7 but if it's anything like EVA, I will avoid it.  :)

Except Eureka 7 isn't really all that much like Eva at all, apart from the Mechs.
Plus its better.

Eureka Seven Just doesnt appeal much, More of a ... Strange Drug Trip down the road from Evangelion.

Evangelion was a overated show but come on people it wasnt that bad it was just above average and Id agree Eurika 7 was bearly average the only thing that kept me watching the first episode was the really good Animation.

Eureka 7 is, in my opinion, the BEST SHOW of 2005 and so far of 2006.

It is THAT good.  The first episode may seem normal for now, but trust me, it's all just proper setup for what's to come.

Okay I shall keep watching I guess but I dont think it will big as big as you say it might get a little better but its not going to be huge just better MAYBE ofcouse I think it will only get a little better ins tory maybe.

What? Eureka Seven is amazing. They don't give people Tokyo Animation Fair prizes for nothing.

I only watched the first 5 or so episode. Does it get all crazy with giant alien things, wierd vortexes or any other crazy shit like eva or does it just stay as a lame mech show with surf boards?

Eva was cool cause it was so insane. Does this get better?

It becomes a much better mech show with surfboards. The appeal vs Eva is that the characters are sane.

What the hell does Eva have to do with Eureka??? Just because they share Mechs that have underlying living tissue?? Omg worst comparison ever.
Eva's packed with religious themes where as E7 Isn't about any of that.

And it's cool. At least it doesn't follow all the same patterns most animes do (good first ep - story gets somewhere till eps 10 - 12 or 13 is recap eps - then nothing happens till the last 2 episodes where they cram everything they can get their hands on into the storyline for closure)

EVA wasn't about manly about religion.  It was about some annoying emo kid with some mech and religious elements thrown in for good measure.

Eh, Eureka 7 is pretty amazing. Ep 26 alone is probobly one of the top 5 episodes in any anime ever.

I hear 48 is even better.

When I was watching eureka 7 I did not at any one point in time think it was like evangalion...rahxephon was a different story though.

Right, so the Coralians are now pissed and start killing a lot of humans (Angel like behavior) and during this Anemone and Eureka go wonky. Right before this it was revealed that Eureka was actually a human form Coralian and I suspect that Anemone is too. It's crazy shit.

Eh, Well thats just half the story... those coralians are really 'antibody coralians' as they are called, they exist soley to protect the scab coral, which is why they only appeared when Dewey used the Orange weapon on the planet...
