It currently has way too much traffic, and there hasn't been a new meme in a loooong time.

So why not? The only threads that survive are those easy to post in(roll threads, raff u ruse)

If he were to split it up then original threads would at least have a chance of not 404ing within the first minute

I think a more moderated random board would be a good idea. So you can post things that don't fall into any category without actually posting in the shithole that is /b/.
