BASF? You mean EMTEC? If it's a HD (not that I've heard they make any), it may be good or bad, I don't know. If it's a diskette, you lose for using diskettes in 2005. If it's a CD, you lose for not using Taiyo Yuden.
Yes, a diskette. Sometimes they're still a decent way of transporting small amounts of data, you know. And not EMTEC, it was made before they changed their name.

I do, I use them occassionally (esp. to install/repair OSes). Just don't copy anything important on them, they're getting old and unreliable (unless you're buying new media - doubt so, why would anyone want to).
