Why do the British find it so funny when men dress up as women?

If you don't know what I am talking about, watch ANY British attempt at comedy.

I cant think of many modern british comedies that have crossdressers only litle britain but thats a spoof on absurdly bad transexualls .

BTW american comedy has crossdressers too M.A.S.H for example so by your reasoning I can say that all american comedy involves crossdressing as well .

My guess is you just saw it on the simpsons or familiy guy and your simple mind made it into something that its not .
