What about them crossdressing Brits?

Why do the British find it so funny when men dress up as women?

If you don't know what I am talking about, watch ANY British attempt at comedy.

Do Brit comedies EVER have a live studio audience?  All I hear is canned laughter.  It's very obvious and annoying.
