I'm sick of scribbling down messy notes to myself and having to memorize what I need to do for any given day, so I figure I could really benefit from a PDA. At first I wanted something very simple that I could store schedules, memos, addresses, and phone numbers in, so I was actually considering taking a Zire product. But after exploration, I realized that I could certainly do with a tiny devide that stored all of the random reference documents and books I have laying around in digital format so that I don't have to drag around the books themselves, and it'd also be pretty nifty if I could play some good games on it, too (which is one point any Zire product would be severely limited). I was looking to minimize the amount I spent on it, so I was looking for a while at the Tungsten E2, but then the Tungsten T/X, with four times the memory as the E2 plus wireless, caught my eye. The difference between the two was $100, so I was discouraged at first, but the wireless capability made me cream my pants.
So right now I'm looking at the Tungsten T/X for $300. The things I like about it are the large storage space (128 MB) and the Wi-Fi hotness.
Then again, this is the first time I'm buying a PDA, so I'm not even sure that this is a good deal.
Someone who actually knows about this stuff - is there an alternative to the Tungsten E2 or T/X in the same price range that I should be looking at?
Please don't suggest PocketPC's, though. I'm not interested in owning a PocketPC.
Thanks in advance.
