Hey all

I'm gonna start to learn Linux by my self, i have some knohow in it but i know NOTHING!

What books can you guys recomend for people who are self learning linux?

Any books that are easy to follow , DIY examples and so fourth...

linux is free software. This means:
1. you can use it for any purpose
2. redistribute the software
3. make changes to the software
4. publish the changes that you made.

you are allowed to sell free software for any price.
an example of free software being sold is audacity http://audacity.sf.net -  the audio editing software.

Windows software is proprietry. It doesn't even allow the first freedom of free software. When you get a copy of an OEM version of windows, that licence is only valid for the computer it came on. Windows vista will require drm. you are not even allowed to make major hardware changes to your computer without letting microsoft know about it.
