Is there a fast way to calculate the probability of achieving a certain phenotype WITHOUT drawing up a Punnet Square diagram?
An example of this is:
"A cross between TtSsGgHHff and ttSsGghhFf resulted in 256 offspring. How many are expected to be short, with smooth coated yellow seeds and hairy flat leaves?"
I'm studying for a test where we are allowed approximately 1 minute per question. I would draw up a punnet square if I could.. but I can't.
