Punnet Squares

Is there a fast way to calculate the probability of achieving a certain phenotype WITHOUT drawing up a Punnet Square diagram?

An example of this is:

"A cross between TtSsGgHHff and ttSsGghhFf resulted in 256 offspring. How many are expected to be short, with smooth coated yellow seeds and hairy flat leaves?"

I'm studying for a test where we are allowed approximately 1 minute per question. I would draw up a punnet square if I could.. but I can't.

To do this you just need to look at the probability of each thing and multiply it.

P(tt) = 1/2
P(ss) = 1/4
P(gg) = 1/4
P(hh) = 0
P(ff) = 1/4

That's assuming all the traits you list are recessive, the probability is 0.

Thank you very, very much.
