Anyone ever tried binaural beat frequencies to change their state of mind?
Has it worked for anyone? It does nothing for me, sadly.

Are you using headphones?
It takes a while to lock onto. I thought it was just placebo at first. This is going to sound odd, but try to listen to it as if it is mono, focusing, but relaxing. Listen to the signal in your right ear, and in your left ear, and try to bring the sounds into the center.
Are you using the old brainwave generator program? It's fantastic. The standard presets are great.
What exactly software do you use?
Debian has only
gnaural - A programmable binaural-beat audio generator

It's complete bullshit.
It'll effect you if you make it effect you, that's why it works best on younger kids - because they're easier to manipulate.
