"The students nodded, emphatically agreeing with a statement which upwards of sixty-two thousand repetitions in the dark had made them accept, not merely as true, but as axiomatic, self-evident, utterly indisputable."

Lord of the Rings is more historically accurate than the Bible.

Lord of the Rings is bad fiction, the Bible is fact. Unless you have some basis for your outrageous claim? (You are wrong, by the way, you can save yourself some embarrassment and just agree with me)

The bible is as fictional as Lord of the Rings, at least Lord of the Rings is interesting.
You forgot capitalize the word Bible, therefore your whole post is wrong. Next!

Religion in general is bullshit; have us think for you, give us money, become a biggot, and start wars!

religion is unprovable. on the contrary, evolution has yet to ever be disproved.
our silly "bible" is merely a lot of fanciful tales admittedly written by random people who may or may not have been possessed or "inspired" silliness. saying something is true because it just is is the lamest argument EVAR seriously, sounds like childrens beliefs with huge gaps in logic

There is proof everywhere that God exists, and since I have not seen you cite any evidence to back up your position, I can only assume you are lying. What I see in your post is a string of insults, no more. Please get out of my thread if you cannot present a proper argument, Satan. (Or at least use some punctuation in your next post)

Of course it's fanfiction, since everything in the NT were not written by Jews.

Here's proof that the Bible is contradictory; Jesus says accept your fellow man, love your neighbor, yet God punishes those who don't believe. If God and Jesus accept everyone for who they are, then why are non-believers punished? Either God is a hyppocritical asshole, or the Bible is simply bullshit.
>>31 >"There is proof everywhere that God exists."
No there isn't. There isn't any evidence proving god's existence. There isn't evidence saying there isn't a god either, but there is evidence that fundamentalist gods such as God from the bible or Allah from the Quran could never physically exist as literally described in any popular bible.
The Christian bible is a piece of shit, especially the king James version. It is written by MAN (and therefore not perfect). It is a translation of a translation that has been edited by every king and queen up until King James, on top of distortions of being copied by hand by scribes. What remains is a random, contradictory piece of shit pile of folklore describing an insecure anthropomorphic god. It has been used as warfare and more people have died in its name than any other incentive. It is absolutely obsolete and detrimental to the human species.
One thing I find interesting is how most people who follow the bible literally are so ignorant as to its history. Seriously, any time you have some bible toting evangelist fucking with you, ask him where his bible came from. This boggles my mind.

Apparently >>31 is some gayfagass who thinks "beauty" is some proof of a divinity. OF course, he can't produce a burning bush, a walk on water, a divided sea, or anything else of clear indication of an external power acting to counter Physics, Chemistry, etc.
Public Message to Judeo-Christians: Your Jahweh obviously doesn't exist. It has poked its hand into the universe often enough, according to your stories. Where is all that hand-pokin' now? We have recording devices and other detection equipment now. Where is all this god-thing now? Well, the obvious and overwhelming answer is that your old stories are pure fucking BULLSHIT and that the "god" envisioned in those stories is also bullshit. If there is a divinity in the universe, it is wholly unlike your "big Jewish guy in the sky" metaphor. And even if there is a divinity in the universe, WE STILL REQUIRE EVIDENCE TO KNOW IT.

The hypothesis that a supernatural entity created the universe is completely consistent with our current scientific observations that the universe exists. So you're going to need to try a little harder if you want to refute science.
