I can't see video on this computer (dialup, eh) but if you're pushing some sort of common supersonic travel, the West has already spent that nut.  The primary Western Empire is now far more interested in achieving a condition of domestic economic slavery and foreign political supremacy.  Remember the Concorde?  Yeh, the West has officially kissed that capability good bye, preferring to commit hundreds of billions towards beating into submission Arabs and Persians who just happen to live above oil deposits.

If it is, would you fly away in my space rocket?

#3, that's amusing, since ironically the Concorde is a far larger washed-up superstar of the West.  The US's Space Shuttle is going to join it in a few short years.  The West has spent itself in an orgy of warfare and self-predation.  So much for the advancement of Humanity!  I guess it's up to the Chinese, now.

because the chinese would be better?  you're the worst troll ever

#5, apparently I nipped you in the quick, where it hurts.  Did I say or even imply the Chinese would be better?  No, I implied that conducting supersonic transport is going to be up to the emergent civilization, China.  The West has obviously given up on it.

If there's anyone trolling here, it's YOU, with your leaping to conclusions and immediate regression to ad hominem.  So put on a fresh pair of panties since IT'S ON!

>>2,>>4,>>6, you need to see the video, because it totally destroys your petty arguments.

It's not just supersonic, but electronic supersonic.

Only thing can stop it is flat tire.
Obey me, I is your new dictator!

Red cream your argument is poor and vainglory unjustified, whether you are a chinese racist or a troll or whatever.

Concorde wasn't a failure, it's safety record is still better than all modern airliners that were in service during the same period. Target consumers were more and more willing to spend 8 hours in 1st class 747s than the smaller gas guzzling concordes, it was a dated design dating from the late 60s that made a profit but not as much as the standard jumbos and it's novel appeal had worn down. The crash was a nail in the coffin.

China has no commercial airliner companies that can compete with airbus or boeing.

Peak oil, global warming etc..

Though dated I doubt any Chinese company or institution will bother taking supersonic airliners seriously again. At a long shot a Chinese airline company may arise in the next 20 years and produce small supersonic private airliners

I so would

#8, I didn't say Concorde was a failure, and neither did I even imply that it was.  That means the vainglory here is within your mind (which is rather standard for the usual Western cocksucker which frequents this 4channel).

What I DID say was that the West had given up on it.  Is it flying today and carrying passengers?  No.  Is there a replacement for it flying today?  No.  Is there a replacement for it in the works?  Well, I haven't heard of one, and I'm fairly well perceptive to such news.

There are other indicators that the West is on the decline.  In accordance to the lessons of history, this suggests that there is an "emergent civilization".  I proposed that that is China.  After all, it's growing economically in leaps and bounds, and economic growth is a fairly strong sign of civilization.

You're right to suspect that perhaps China can't cut it with developing that level of civilization.  We're in the midst of a worldwide Peak Oil and that can only affect China too.  If oil proves to undermine all economic growth in the world, then there's not a good chance that China will put a JP-guzzling supersonic design to work.  But they still might.  After all, look at the great example of the Apollo Project ... all that expense and development, in part just to prove the American cock was larger than the Russian cock.  Given the size of the average Japrick on Internet pr0n sites, the Chinks might well feel the need to prove themselves.

I agree with Redcream's argument on the basis of the current strength of the USSR and it's related rapid industrialization and growth.

They starved the most people to death in history, no one will ever match them. Why aren't they proud of that?

#13, all Empires are fueled with Human blood.  I'm sure the Chinky-Chinks ARE proud of it, but in the modern age they use other words to assert that pride due to the ever-present need to spin the message.  China is clapping itself on the back for their industrial production, yet the appalling environmental conditions there form a testimony to the real Human cost.  The 'bloodfuel' has been propagandistically spun into "economic development" -- which certainly pleases that most vampiric of classes, the BANKERS.
