Lucid Dreaming

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-23 9:52

I'm not sure how to achieve the actual state of lucidity, but once I realize I'm at that moment, I can have a usual decent control over my dream. ie- Flying around, changing things, etc.

I found that if a certain thing happened that day, or major things you've been thinking about, usually affect the state of your dreams.

i heard a tip that if you see something like a clock or something else that has numbers on it in a dream, and look away and back at it, that it wont have the same numbers, and that can be a cue for recognizing its a dream.  maybe im weird but numbers are consistent in my dreams.

Apparently you're most likely to have a lucid dream the night after you find out about them.

I had two lucid dreams a long time ago thanks to the nose trick, but none since. :(

During the day, occasionally pinch your nose shut and try breathing through it (which obviously won't work). Eventually you'll start doing this occasionally during dreams, where you can breathe through it, and you'll realize that you're dreaming.
There are all kinds of little 'reality check' tricks like that (eg >>2). There's a Wikibook about lucid dreaming that has some useful information.

i heard somewhere that setting an alarm for 3 or 4AM or something, and letting it wake you up at that time for a few days, then sleeping normally without setting the alarm supposedly can make you conscious in a dream.

I have experienced a lucid dream only once in my life. It was a really freaky experience. I was lying down on my bed, when i hear the phone ring. I get up and run and pick up the phone. I say hello but the phone still keeps ringing. And then I find myself back on the bed with the phone still ringing in the background.

I have those more frequently than ever now. When i become aware of dreaming i will become so nervous when i think of all the stuff i might be able to do that i snap and wake up immediately. I hate that

try not to think about sex. i break stuff, destory etc. works fine with me. sex gets me awake.

Easiest way evar to lucid dream:
1. Set the clock to wake you up after 4-5 hours of sleep, because later in the sleep dreams are more common (more dream time and less "black void" time, when the brain sleeps).
2. Wake up your mind but not your body, think about what are you gona do in your dream but do not do exercises or run around the house.
3. Go back to the bed and concentrate on your breathing and do not think about anything else, watch the colors you see with your eyes closed and listen the sounds you hear but do think about them.
4. When the colors and the sounds become fairly intense imagine like you're doing something, like walking on a street.
5. ???
6. Kill some people on the street or have a tea with them but do not raep them because you'll wake up.

Ps: To stay in the dream: concentrate on what's happening in the dream.
To wake up/escape from the furry that wanna raep you, imagine you're body that's sleeping.

I tried this last night.
But right after/during the colors and strange sounds kicked in it felt kind of wierd in the stomach area. seconds later almost out of air I panicked and didn't get anything else done... :(

will try again tonight though.

Sorry I forgot to mention that. That's your body going to sleep, your breathing becomes automatic and you can't feel nor move your body, except the eyes (dunno why, btw you can see that a person is dreaming if the pupils underneath the eyelids are moving).

THINK ABOUT YOUR BREATHING! :D

Jokes aside, thanks >>16 for the information, I'll try it.

I once had a lucid dream, or dreamt that I had a lucid dream (PIME TARADOX - I can't tell). I was aware that it was a dream, but was that real awareness? I was doing strange things and didn't jump straight into sex, so I don't know if it was me.

Anyways, I was with my family in some shop in a park and I called my old man. I was about to ask "How does it feel to know you are just a product of my imagination?", but I didn't because I thought it was too cruel. What do you think?

personally I have no doubt it be interesting to see what they'd do if you tell them they're not real.. make up excuses or just act hurt..
reminds me of that one Zelda game.

My "product of imagination" started to cry. Fun.

All my last lucid dreams after some minutes became foggy, all becomes grey, my body becomes heavy, i fell on the ground and then sometimes I wake up, for the rest I do not remember. How do I get rid of that?

Noone dreams here?

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-07 8:17

Think about your sleep

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-10 19:05

I wish I could realize it when I am dreaming. That would be the best (wet) dream of my life.

My dreams are clear like crystal again! Oh, and for flying do not jump, just imagine you're already flying.

Are you retarded? You can't have sex or anything sexual in lucid dreams. That's the rule

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-01 16:33

>>32
You can't? Why?

Then lucid dreaming is useless. I was going to try it just for the sex.

Sure you can, but you always wake up after a couple of penetrations.

You will wake up with dirty underwear.

Trying to go lucid just to try having sex is a waste of the attempt, there are better things you can do, in fact much more important things but I guess it is entirely up to you.

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-03 1:59

I'm actually gonna try that tonight ;)
