I've looked around long and hard for a decent programming image/textboard that's actually active and not a cesspool. How'd /prog/ get to be this fucking bad? Are there any serious members left?

I'm one of the board redirectors and thread reporter. I will contribute good posts to threads that are programming related. I wish the spammers would take their spam to /b/ where anything is permitted.

When board dispatching spam and threads reporting are not enough, you can always run 8 bots for a week to make sure the board is unusable for everybody.
Oh no, wait... we have captchas now. We all enjoy being Google's unpaid mechanical turks. That's a fair price to be free from self-appointed janitors.
Looking forward for your good posts.

You can go to http://progrider.org/prog , it's pretty decent. The handful of good /prog/ residents moved there. You'll get programming related threads, interesting collective projects, book and url sharing, no captchas...
The only drawback is that the admin is a piece of shit. You know. The kind of people who could upload CP pictures to your website and call the FBI because you told him he was an idiot.
While it's definitely possible to hide your real IP and identity, he knows who's posting what and who's there at any moment... The userbase being between 5 to 10 users, you won't get much anonymity. But quality is undeniable, I do wish them the best.
